After several days of travel from England and then across two provinces, my partner and I booked a king deluxe suite with a jacuzzi tub at Motel 6 through Expedia — specifically for the spacious bed and tub to ease our sore muscles. Upon check-in, the room was large, but the jacuzzi didn’t work. When we informed the staff, they admitted it was broken and offered no fix or apology, saying there was “nothing they could do.” My partner explained our situation and requested either a comparable room with a working tub or a partial refund, but we were told neither was possible and that the staff already knew the tub was out of order before assigning the room. Their only “solution” was to move us to a smaller double/queen room where they thought the tub worked, though we weren’t allowed to verify it beforehand. When my partner checked the room himself before moving our belongings, he was scolded by staff. No one offered help, checked the new room for us, or expressed any apology for the inconvenience. We ended up in the smaller room, where the tub was extremely loud — unusable by the time we got into the room and finished getting scolded by staff While the room was relatively clean, both spaces showed visible wear: cracked flooring, patched holes, and marked walls. One staff member was pleasant, but another was openly rude. Given the high price compared to similar motels and the lack of transparency or customer care, we won’t be staying at Motel 6 again during our travels in Canada.

Staff was friendly. There were multiple bugs in the room (not bed bugs). We just put them outside. There was stuff stuck to the bathroom counter that we cleaned off. There was stuff stuck the wall in shower and we also cleaned the shower. Sheets were clean. Not very sound proof. We got woken up by the people above us in the middle of the night.

The hotel is a budget friendly option. We stayed one night to attend Riders game. Caught Uber to the game and returned in Uber from casino. Lots of restaurants and gas stations nearby Motel 6. Staff were excellent and attentive. Hotel room was quiet. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Room had fridge and microwave. Continental breakfast was basic with no frills but filled the tummies.

The motel smelled like an ashtray, due them having smoking in some of the suites. The bed was like sleeping on a concrete slab. The floor tiles are loose in the bathroom and the faucet dripped constantly. The elevator smelt like mold and mildew coming from the elevator shaft. The continental breakfast was a major disappointment, people in jail get better and more options than this place offers.

This is a great “no frills” place to stay. The price was right and we were quite comfortable in our room. The cleanest bathroom I’ve seen in a hotel/motel. When you first come in to the lobby there is a smell, and we were worried. We stayed in a non-smoking room on the 2nd floor but we could smell smoke in the hallway as we went to it room. We mentioned this and apparently there are smoking and non-smoking rooms on the same floor. Once we got into our room, it was smell free and suited our needs very well. We would definitely stay again.

My husband is diabetic & the breakfast wasn't very diabetic friendly. Would like the option of sugar free syrup or jam. The whole wheat bread was a good choice for toast. Otherwise it was good.
