The room was not as per the photos. There were 2 single duvets on a double bed, along with extremely thin pillows which were uncomfortable. The room temperature was all over the place because the room window would not close due to a broken bracket. The lights in the bathroom were constantly turning on and off by themselves due to poor fitment. Overall for the price we were very disappointed. For our final night we stayed in Hilton Canopy which was a much more pleasant stay

The location is great if you want to be in the heart of it all. The kitchen is small but it is well equipped and we were able to make simple meals to save a little money. There is no ventilation or fans in the kitchen or bathroom though. For us, the only negative was only having one pillow per person. We enjoyed the nightly music from below and spent our last night at the library listening live, but if you want quiet at night, this is not a good place for you.

Great location!! You can quickly walk anywhere in downtown Reykjavik! Plenty of space for myself and 2 teenagers, and having a second bathroom was a huge plus. Clean, comfortable beds and everything you might need to make yourself something in the kitchen. I would book this place immediately if I ever come back!

We were staying with two young kids and had an apartment on the 3rd floor facing the main road, which is right above a VERY loud bar. We could feel the music thumping throughout the night and could hear people outside talking and singing until about 5 am. You can also smell the cigarette smoke with all the windows closed! They do not have blackout curtains in the bedroom and the street lights also kept the kids awake. Would not recommend.

We rented a two bedroom for three adults. Lots of room (5 twins), spacious living/dining/kitchen, fresh decor. Extra towels etc available in a locked closet in the foyer. Excellent place in Reykjavik to enjoy the city, restaurants, waterfront and the shops. Check out is 10 am but you can store yourself in a locked closet for the day. Things to consider for your stay: shower is not enclosed and if you have mobility issues you have to step over the large rim of the tub. Also, although earplugs are provided, for our four night stay, there was loud karaoke singing from local bars past 2 am (Thursday - Sunday). May be exactly your cup of tea but we would have preferred it to be a little more quiet. Note for management: dishwasher soap powder does not get used during the cycle; base around the bathtub comes loose.

Bad

A smell cheap perfume trying to cover up bad smell of the room greeted us at the entrance. But this was just the beginning. The room was filthy with sticky stains all over the floor, dust on furniture, the curtains ripped off the hooks, fake leather couch shedding all over…. Besides it, I booked a room was too bad, and there was just one bed, to be fair, it consisted of two beds, and we could have them separated, but there was only one sheet covering both of them together. I did not only book two-bed room, I specifically requested two beds in messages. The communication was poor. There was one thin worn out pillow for each person on a bad. Hence, we didn’t have much comfort sleeping. The sound isolation in the building is horrible hearing I was waking up by neighbors early in the morning, is there was a big and loud company next-door being very noisy. The bathroom was ridiculous. It had Jacuzzi with a showerhead and no curtain. Bathroom didn’t have a floor mat. And we were only given one towel each. The whole room is not cozy and has a very cold feeling, besides being worn down.

Got a room that I was not happy with, support quickly helped me and within a couple hours I was in a new much nicer room. The management on site was very nice and helpful. In the heart of downtown and all the night life. If you are going to see Reykjavik, this is a great spot to be.

Locations is fantastic. And the VALUE for such a great location with a full kitchen if you were staying for multiple days is great. Bookstore bar just downstairs was one of the best bars I’ve ever been to with great live music EVERY night 8-11. The bad - it can be loud and the windows are not the best. Also the hot water has a strong sulfur smell. And I know it’s because of the geothermal activity but every other hotel must use something to clean up the smell because this was the only place.

Perfect location, clean and comfortable (Could use some new pillows). Noise level outside was very loud throughout the night on Friday, much quieter on Saturday but they do have earplugs for you which helps. Overall, great stay!
