This house and extensive property offer a private retreat from the world. I especially loved how easy it was to pair my phone to the house's sound system indoors and outdoors so I could enjoy music when the quiet was just too... quiet. The outside areas are private, quiet, and relaxing. The stairs to the river were remarkably sturdy. I highly recommend sleeping with the windows open so you can hear the sound of the water going over the dam at night. It's so soothing. Almost like listening to peaceful ocean waves as you drift off to sleep.The kitchen was perfect. I loved how everything was labeled clearly and the coffee and tea provided were a nice perk. The pillows throughout are full and lush. Recommend adding some sort of topper to the mattresses, as both beds were super firm, and the difference between the mattress and pillows made it hard to enjoy such full and lush pillows. We did a big grocery run before the trip, so we didn't need to run to a store or drive to restaurants during our stay. Checkout was super simple. Probably the best experience we've had with VRBO or other rentals. No fussy directions or overly detailed requests. Just leave the beds messy, put towels in laundry room, and tie up trash bags. The most low-friction trip ever!
