Your own calm & cozy guest house in quiet Mount Baker. Private ground-floor apartment with one bedroom , living room with sleeper sofa, large cook's kitchen with eating bar and private bath. Everything is provided except your personal items. Kitchen includes keurig coffee maker and hot water dispenser. Large flat screen TV has Cable and Netflicks plus a DVD and CD player. Wi-fi included. Bedroom features queen size luxe mattress and bedding plus large closet and lots of drawer space. Washer & dryer in unit. Central air and heating included. Bath has walk-in shower. Small patio with bistro table and private entrance.
Great neighborhood for walking, running and biking. Walk to Lake Washington, Colman Park, Jimi Hendrix Museum and park, the I-90 tunnel and bridge and lots more. Two blocks to bus lines. Light rail 5 minute drive or 15 minute walk; 20 minutes to airport and all around Seattle. 3 blocks to restaurants and coffee bar. Ten minute drive to Columbia City, Capitol Hill and International District and 15 minutes to downtown. Hang out in Bradner Park right around the corner, which features great views, lots of pea patch gardens and free concerts from time to time. You won't believe you're right in the middle of the city in peaceful and neighborly Mount Baker.
We live upstairs with our two cats and are available to help with anything you need.

The hosts were super responsive in terms of our requests such as checking in a bit early and questions. The place was clean and cozy and there were thoughtful notes to make our stay easier. Short drive into town. Walking distance to some restaurants too.

Our hosts were so lovely! The guest house was perfect, in a beautiful neighborhood that’s walkable to some great local spots. We especially enjoyed the walk down the street to the community garden. It’s also conveniently close to Seattle University, where we were moving our daughter. We will definitely be staying again!

This is a charming, well-appointed, comfortable, and carefully laid out home-away-from-home experience. The unit is filled with lots of extras. During our July stay, with the main entrance open, the space was quiet and cool. We never used the air conditioner. At night, we never heard any street noise. It was restful relaxing inside or using a sitting table just outside the entrance.The owners, Alex and Harry, were wonderful communicators before we booked our reservation, answering lots of questions; before we arrived, with answering more questions; and then on the day of arrival, being on hand to show us the place. Thank you for all your help.The surrounding neighborhood offered lots of tourist and destination opportunities within walking distance including: Colman Park, Leschi Park, Frink Park, and scenic overlooks in Mt. Baker and the Leschi-Dell area. Also fun was walking the floating bridge section of I-90 and the South Day Street Park underneath I-90 - both are walkable from the VRBO.. Other nearby areas visited via bus or car included: Seward Park and Kubota Garden.Eateries: we liked QED Coffee located on the main drag of Mt. Baker. We walked, 40 minutes or so, to Cafe Peloton in Cherry Hill and Moonlight Cafe in the Central District and Oak Restaurant in Beacon Hill; by car, we visited Redbird Cafe in Rainier Beach. Groceries: after a walk along the lake, we filled up with groceries at the Leschi Market.

Sweet guesthouse in great neighborhood.

Excellent experience, Harry met us upon arrival and had great recommendations for local attractions and restaurants. The apartment is well stocked, tastefully decorated and has all needed amenities. The neighborhood is quiet. Will definitely stay there again when in the area.

Great spot in Seattle!

My partner and I were traveling back from Belize heading back to Montana and it was so nice to stay in this clean and comfortable space. Close to some amazing food and a quiet quaint neighborhood. Would definitely stay again!

Great Basecamp for Exploring Seattle

A lovely place in quiet local neighborhood. Thoughtful attention to detail, from the artwork throughout to the bathroom and kitchen extras. So much close by to do, so little time to explore--this time. We will be back!

This place was great and totally as advertised. The neighborhood was beautiful and walkable if you don't mind a few hills. Close to the train or a short Uber/Lyft to downtown if you prefer. The kitchen was very well stocked and the bed was super comfortable. Alex was a pleasure to work with. We will definitely be back!!
