"The grounds and the room were very clean and beautiful! We had most everything we needed. The cleaning staff didn’t speak English so it was difficult to convey to them what we needed. We needed a bar of soap for the kitchen and she gave us towels and wash clothes instead. Maybe a laminated chart with pictures to aid in communication would be beneficial. "

"This was the first time I stayed at the Menger . It was very comfortable and right in the heart of the Alamo Plaza. The Alamo was a short walk across the street, shopping and fine dining all within a few minutes walk. The valet parking is a little expensive for me, but very convenient. They have a nice restaurant and bar downstairs, room service for the early morning breakfast in bed, and the first floor is like a little time capsule of this historic hotel. I'll come back in a future visit and stay a little longer "
