The first room they gave me was gross. There were stains and black "stuff" on the bedding, the inside of the fridge had what looked like old food stuck to it, the door knob had some sort of custy something on it, the sink drain was clearly not cleaned around the rim, the hairdryer was dirty and broken, all the switches and outlets needed wiping, and there were soap drips on the wall and cabinet not wiped up.
I took pictures and walked the manager through it all. I was told the linens are taken to laundromat, the cleaning lady only works10-2, and everything is "being replaced." He did give me a different room which appeared better but....the outside of fridge had a collection of dust, the switches needed wiping, the bed coverlet still had stains (I did not sleep under the covers because I was still grossed out), the bolts on the toilet were not trimmed, and there was never any hot water no matter the time of day.
I told the manager about the hot water and was given the standard "Well we're full. Noone has complained. Everyone is using it at the same time." Hmm. Really? All day? Then I was told the hot water tank is hot so there has to be a leak somewhere so he wanted to put a blue toilet tab in the toilet so he can find the leak. Uhm...that's not how that works!
It was interesting how he said they were full on the weekend when I only had neighbors in the "gross room."
The door leading from upstairs to the bottom outside door needs a "Watch Your Step" sign.
