Libelula on Expedia is listed as a hotel when in reality is a glorified camping. The star rating of this place should one not four as listed as well. No AC in the room even with the door open it’s impossible to sleep (humidity is pretty high in November), uncomfortable humid pillows and old washed off towels, cigarettes and marijuana smell, generator provided electricity but not enough to use a blow dryer or charge phones. Someone made a decision to do a movie night until 11pm, the sound was so loud it felt like the speakers literally were inside the room.
We stayed one night only of the initial four booked, moved to a real hotel for the rest of our stay.
If you like to stay in a place suitable for nomads and hippies and don’t care to overpay, these shacks will meet your expectations. On the other hand, If you want real Hotel (four or five stars), Be Tulum, La Valise, Casa Malca, The Nest to name a few is the way to go.
