Ground floor apartment in a great location, close to everything yet away from the 'touristy' busy areas of Venice. The apartment was clean, spacious and relatively well appointed and communication with the lady from 'Venice Neighbours' for the checkin process was smooth and very accomodating. Would definitely stay here again.
The location of the apartment was convenient for sightseeing with a few restaurants and cafes close by. There was a good cafe across the square (with thick hot chocolate) and a cafe next door serving the popular aperitif Aperol Spritz. Great way to chill out in the afternoon.
The apartment is not in the middle of the tourist spots so relatively quiet, but can walk easily to Rialto Bridge in about 15mins, and 30mins to Piazza San Marco. Note that it's about 15mins walk to the apartment from the rail station and have to cross a few bridges with steps. This was a little difficult with big luggage.
We didn't meet Andrea in person but he gave us detailed instructions on how to get to the apartment from the airport. His friend Simone was available to meet us and return the deposit when we check out. There was no wifi when we stayed there so we had to buy a data sim for 30 Euro, but we were told wifi would be installed after we left.
Overall it was a nice clean apartment and the decor was inviting, exactly as pictured. The window shutters can be closed on the outside to shut out all noise and light so we were well rested every night.
