They were renovating, no warning of that. The room was gross. The elevator was sketchy. The room cards kept having to be reset. Mold in the bathroom.

The property is old, and letting people stay while they are renovating. I was roomed on the third floor with strong smell of dilapidation, chemicals, dust with cardboard as flooring in the common area outside my door that was a hazard for fall and respiratory illness. I went down to the lobby to let the staff know my concern, but was told “I only stay in the lobby area. I don’t go to the rooms so I am not sure what the conditions of theses rooms are. I travelled a lot and have been in so many hotels in different countries but have never seen any unkempt hotel like this. I am sorry. I don’t normally do reviews, but I have to because this is the worst of the worst experience

The property is under construction and nowhere online that is maintained by the hotel does it say that. The noise was ok for the contruction, but its on every floor. The halls and elevator smelled so badly of paint thinner one day that I had to cover my mouth to breath. Staff was friendly, the room was okay and the price was right though.

Don’t stay here!

This location is awful! Smells like smoke, old and dirty, worker at front desk night all nights except first night we stayed focused more on his earbuds than helping customers. Apparently in renovation process so was woken up too early 3 out of 4 mornings we were there. We weren’t warned about renovation nor moved rooms. Elevator seems like it could break at any trip. Breakfast awful although one of the mornings sweet worker making waffles for customers was nice. No do not disturb signs so I asked front desk to not let anyone in our room which worked day 1 but other days they came in. Lastly on checkout day there was a housekeeping knock before checkout time which is ALWAYS annoying..,either check people have checked out with front desk OR wait until official checkout time. We needed to book one more night since we decided to stay one day longer but we went to a different hotel and will never come back to this La Quinta.

Room was not clean everyday, hotel was being remodel, some days in the early hours too noisy, and fire alarm kept being tested early hours of the morning and I was sleeping in late. Carpets and air unit had a musky smells. Carpets very dirty and so was the air unit.

The hotel is under renovation, so the hotel room we used is clean but everything outside the room is dusty and dirty. On the day of check-in, I was told that there would be $100 deposit for incidentals and the money would be returned to my account at check-out. I checked in on August 17th and checked out on the early morning of August 18th. The front desk person assured me at the time of my checking out that the $100 deposit will be returned to my credit card account. However, today is already August 23rd, and the $100 charge is still in my credit card account. I stayed at a different La Quinta Inn just two months ago for a week. Like all other hotels, there was also a deposit then, but it was only a hold and was released upon check-out. No money was ever charged to my card. I do not understand why this particular La Quinta Inn at Auburn, Massachusetts actually charged $100 to my card. I called the hotel this morning and was told to wait for one or two more days for the money to show up in my credit card account. I hope this issue will be resolved then.
