The staff were so genuinely helpful and kind. I felt immediately warmly welcomed and considered. The room was ideal for our layover, 15/20 mins from the airport and walkable to everything! Canal facing made it extra special.

Very clean, quiet neighborhood only 10min walk to train and red light. Yeah it in a traditional Amsterdam house so the steps are a bit steep but that’s character.

Great place to stay. Close to all the main streets while still feeling quiet. Staff were friendly and helpful. Stairs up to our room were quite steep although I think that is quite common in the Netherlands.

I arrived to Amsterdam fairly early and was greeted by amazing staff. My friend and I were offered free coffees of our choice. We got a text before check in when our room was ready. The staff also provided great recommendations and were very welcoming to their beautiful city

Staff was very nice,hotel was quite and clean.For people who have bad knees let them know so that they will not give you a room that has too much steps.I booked a medium room which is enough for me and my husband.The hotel is a walking distance to Amsterdam Centraal and accesible to shops,food and drinks at night.Will definitely come back.

The Max Brown hotel was conveniently located. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The rooms were small but adequate. My room had a window but it opened into an alley where the laundry room was located so it was an early wake up call.

Staff were very helpful and friendly. Beds and pillows comfortable. Bathroom sink so tiny and without a Plug making shaving very difficult. Radiators so noisy as to be unusable when asleep. This hotel was all form with little substance and poor attention to detail and low standards of cleanliness and maintenance. Breakfast very low standard.

I wanted to love the room but it had no window to the outside and was right next to the stairs and people were slamming the door / running up and down the stairs. Location and staff were great but the particular room I had was not ideal for me. I would have liked to know about the lack of window. For the price, wasn’t worth it.
