Reception staff to be trained to hotel's policies

We checked in as a family with a pet (dog). We found the person at reception being rude when realised we had a dog with us. Not what we would expect from a dog friendly hotel. We asked if we could take our dog at the restaurant during breakfast and after the initial negative response, we showed the hotel's policy stating dogs are allowed in a dedicated seperate area. He was totally unaware of this policy and we felt as not wanted in the hotel with our dog. Thankfully the lady responsible for the breakfast area was very polite and welcoming, she set up a table for us and even aksed if we wanted anything for the dog. Apart from this, the rooms were great, clean and cosy.

The hotel staff we’re very friendly and extremely helpful. The beds were very comfortable and the bathroom was clean. It is a 20 to 30 minute drive from city center, but even given that I felt this hotel was a good choice.

The location near the airport is convenient and the staff very friendly. Free parking is also nice. However, the room I got was very outdated and left a lot to be desired. Unless they do major updates on the rooms, I will not come back. Another note is that there is very limited shopping and dining nearby.
