The Woodpecker Cabin on Guemes Island with Hot Tub!
This cabin located on Guemes Island is adorable! Open floor plan with lots of natural lighting. Sleeps 4 comfortably with one queen and one double bed. Fully equipped kitchen with breakfast bar. Children or one more adult will be comfortable on the living room couch that makes into a double bed. Nice bathroom with shower. Private yard, deck with table and barbeque plus a place to relax. A newly installed heat pump keeps the home cozy and comfortable. The fire ring in the yard will be fun to relax around after a fun-filled day around the island. High-speed internet is provided. Come stay awhile!
Serene cabin on a charming island. Loved using the fire pit and hot tub, and beds were comfortable. Lots of privacy and a nice place to unplug (though there is WiFi) and just soak in nature. The house rules were very reasonable and easy to follow. Loved that the welcome packet said to wave to fellow islanders - our favorite part!A few things I would remark on so folks are aware:-The hot tub is different than pictured, and little frogs like to hang out under the cover (a real shocker our first night!)-The couch is unfortunately not too comfortable, as you can feel the metal bars when you sit down.-At least one of the pans needs to be replaced as it is too scratched and stained.
The property was well maintained. Registration was completed easily for a last minute reservation. Our two small dogs enjoyed the outdoors in the fenced backyard. The beds were comfortable. One full, one queen, one futon. One shower, toilet and sink. The hot tub was very relaxing. Everything was well organized with easy to understand instructions. Had an enjoyable stay!
As advertised. Nice quite and really enjoyed the hot tub. Would stay here again for sure. Only problem was the wonderful welcome book came apart and I could not re thread the pages on the plastic spine. Very nice stay.
Great location and nice spot. Really nice and quiet.
Comfortably sleeps 4, the couch on the main floor isnât really suited for adults as itâs pretty small.
Only issue we had was the neighbors septic alarm going off for a couple hours in the evening. Shutoff after about an hour though.
we canât blame our host for something completely out of their control!
This was our first time to Guemes Island. We were pleasantly surprised. Enjoyed the house it was very cozy. Had all the amenities we needed minus a fully functional stove top. Luckily we didnât need 2 large burners but if we had it would have been frustrating to cook on that stove.
Easy to be there. The kitchen had supplies for cooking including spices, which is so rare. I wish the knives were sharper, tho! This place is real cute with a very open floor plan, so bring your earplugs if your friends tend to snore.
It was very relaxing and beautiful out on Guemes Island. Its juat a sweet little island. There is one store which is also a restaurant and bar, but the ferry ride is only like 5 mins to get to the mainland. The people were socnice out on the islabd as well. We did have an issue the frist day with the key but the owners were fast to get back to us and were so amazing. I would definitely stay out here again. 5 out of 5 stars for sure
This cabin is a lovely retreat from the hustle and bustle of city living. The small kitchen is wonderfully appointed and the shower had great pressure with water quickly coming to the desired temperature. The sleeping nooks upstairs are adorable and comfy. Thank you to the hosts for cultivating such a comfortable and nurturing space!
Oh, and a nearby neighbor is a massage therapist! She set up a table right in the living room, so I didnât have to go anywhere. I had plans to investigate the island, but found myself with everything I needed and more right on the property.
Extemely clean. Thoughtfully furnished - everything needed was at hand. It was very cozy and comfortable. The fenced backyard was great for our Scottish Terrier.
We look forward to visiting again.
Great place! As olds, we had a bit of a hard time with the stairs, but the cottage was immaculate. The kitchen was well stocked, the beds super comfy, the location quiet and peaceful. Perfect getaway from the city.
We stayed on Guemes Island as part of a longer Island trip, and this cabin was a very comfortable getaway to relax as well as base camp for some exploration. We spent two nights and poked around the island and Anacortes while we were there. The scenery was lovely! The house itself was very clean, had all the necessities, and was in a peaceful setting with a cute backyard. We enjoyed making sâmores in the fire pit and reading on the porch.
