Hello there and thank you for considering a stay at my peaceful, hillside getaway! You'll find that this home is conveniently located just seconds from Greek Peak Mountain Resort, 10-minutes away from downtown Cortland, and 25-minutes from downtown Ithaca. Enjoy amazing views of the surrounding hills and two-acres of yard from the hot tub or the 360 sq. ft. back porch which runs the length of the home. The grill is ready for cooking and don't leave without a hang around the spacious fire pit area!

"This home has been a dream of ours for a long time, and one that has had a whole lot of love and hard work poured into it. Our priority when searching for a home was a beautiful setting - I wanted to go to bed at night to the sound of the forest and wake up to birds singing in the trees. In addition to the beautiful surroundings, the house needed to have character built into its bones - a uniqueness deep down that any work redesigning could only help bring out, not create. In this home we found everything I wanted, and have worked long and hard to create a mid-century modern themed, rustic hillside retreat. The hope is that all of this hard work pays off when you smile with delight upon opening each door inside the home onto a uniquely designed space. We welcome you not only into this home, but also into the love and vision it represents, and we sincerely think you will enjoy your stay here. Cheers."

Set into the same forested hillside as the storied slopes of Greek Peak Mountain Resort, this home couldn't be closer to all of the adventure and excitement this full-season attraction has to offer. Skiing and snowboarding dominate the wintertime activities roster, but don't forget about the often underrated snowshoeing and cross-country skiing available as well. During the summer enjoy the idyllic sunny days hiking the trails, visiting the spa, or sitting on the white sand of Hope Lake Beach (a 2-minute drive away). If more adventurous fare is what you have in mind, the mountain biking trails, indoor waterpark and outdoor adventure center (which includes a mountain rollercoaster and high ropes course!) should satisfy even the most extreme adrenaline junky. Trax Pub & Grill and Carver's Steakhouse are two wonderful restaurants within a minute of the property if you are looking for a nice dinner/drink out. If it's proximity to Cortland, Ithaca, and even Syracuse that you have in mind, you are only a short drive away.

Great stay

We stayed here for a weekend with family. The location is close to both the ski resort and also Suny Cortland. The house was nice and as advertised. Phillip was very responsive. Over all a great stay and we will stay again!

Holiday Ski Trip

Couple day ski trip to Greek Peak with 4 grandkids…wonderful locale as we were so close to the action while being able to enjoy the solitude of nature. Cabin was well appointed….large dining table for games, kitchen & BBQ made cooking for a crowd easy. The host was great…easy communication/check-in to make sure all was well. Would definitely recommend a stay!

Phil was a terrific host. We stayed for 43 nights. It is so very quiet and peaceful. There is a terrific ice cream shoppe at the bottom of the hill. We delighted in the hot tub, and enjoyed reading by the fire pit. This rental is well suited for both longer and shorter stays. The wine and the picnic basket loaded with s’more supplies was certainly a plus. The house was well appointed, with nothing extra to bring. Enjoy!!!

We had a wonderful stay here while home visiting family. The house was nice and cozy but also plenty of room for the 7 of us at the same time. The firepit was a relaxing time on a cool night and the complementary items were a nice touch as well as the hot tub. We hope to rent again in the future when we venture back to the area to visit. Last but certainly not least, Phil was a super attentive host and we have never had so much positive communication and 5 star care from a host in the past as he definitely goes above and beyond making you feel welcome. I highly recommend booking a stay!

The Property was everything we needed and wanted for our weekend getaway! The host was easy to communicate with and went above and beyond our expectations. It truly felt like a "home away from home". The property is well laid out and very functional. We had a family of four but this place could easily accommodate a group of adults or a larger family. The hot tub is new and clean. The fire pit area is a wonderful feature. Beautiful views of the surrounding hills and valley. The propane heater on the deck was perfect and kept us comfortable outside. Thank you!

We rented this house to visit my daughter at Cortland. We were 4 adults, a teen and a dog. The house was perfect! Enough space for everyone and the kitchen has all the amenities needed to cook. They had outside amenities as well, which we were excited about, but it rained all weekend so we couldn't enjoy them. The house came with a lot of board games, which my family used and enjoyed. My son loved the games! Great place to rent with a family. I will absolutely rent this house again in the future!

Cozy long weekend

This cozy woodland retreat was the perfect long-weekend getaway for our family of four (plus dog.) House was warm and cozy (on a very cold weekend), close to the ski mountain, and furnished with cool mid-century decor and a record player with a great collection of records. Fridge stocked with essentials. And my kids appreciated the complimentary hot cocoa and candies, WiFi, and tv with streaming apps. Phil was the perfect attentive host and answered any questions we had immediately. Look forward to returning!

Perfect getaway

We stayed for our daughters graduation and it was perfect. Philip was hands down the be host we have ever had. He was great with communication and was so thoughtful! He built a fire for us and left a picnic basket full of s'mores food. He also left a bottle of wine!!! These small things were so kind! The house was perfect for our family!! Thank you!!!!

Amazing Stay For a New Years eve with friends

Cozy hill side Chalet, it was absolutely perfect! From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded my expectations. The home was spotless, beautifully decorated, and equipped with all the amenities I needed. The beds was incredibly comfortable, and the kitchen had everything I needed to prepare meals, and the host left extras.There were board games available,great wifi and full apps on TV,The location was ideal, very close to Greek Peak Ski center. Phil was a fantastic host, always responsive and offered any information and help. I felt so welcomed and taken care of throughout my stay. The house was very "homey" and perfect for what we where looking for ! Highly recommend!

Great 4th of July Weekend!

Our family of 4 and 2 dogs traveled in from NoVA to spend time with extended family in the area. What a great little getaway right next to Greek Peak (Trax Pizza and Mountainside Cone: yummy!)The beds were super comfortable, bathrooms were great, kitchen easy to use. Everything was clean.We’ve stayed in many VRBOs and Phil is by far the most attentive and responsive host we’ve ever rented from. When we arrived, there was a bottle of wine and picnic basket filled with S’mores fixings waiting for us. Phil called ahead of our arrival to let us know that they had just installed a new hot tub but it wasn’t reflected in the listing yet. When a storm took out the WiFi and the utility provider needed more than a day to restore it, Phil brought a temporary hot spot over for us. We didn’t ask for the hot spot - Phil offered it. Very thoughtful!We recommend staying here; it’s a nice little getaway and Phil is a super host!
