This beautifully furnished and tastefully decorated 4BR 2BA home is located just 60 miles from NYC on idyllic Candlewood Lake. Three large bedrooms and one small twin bedroom provide comfortable sleeping accommodations for up to 8 guests. The updated eat-in kitchen is fully equipped with everything you'll need to prepare meals. A spacious family room with sectional sofa, large farm table for 8-12, flat-screen with cable and two walls of windows opens to the expansive and furnished deck, complete with a new Weber grill, fire table, and an 8 person hot tub overlooking the lake. Just steps away is your waterfront patio with private dock and direct waterfront lake access. If you feel like staying indoors, the cozy library with stone fireplace with candlelight insert is the perfect place to relax.

Failure to comply will incur forfeiture of damage deposit in the amount required to deep clean furniture and pillows, and launder bedding. Thank you for your understanding.

Please be advised: For the safety and security of our property, our neighbors and our guests, we have installed the Ring video doorbell system to monitor the front door and garage door to the house. There is absolutely no monitoring of the inside of the home, nor the outside deck or patio areas. Use of hot tub, kayaks, floating mat and waterfront area are at guests own risk.

We HIGHLY RECOMMEND travel insurance to protect your investment. We regret that we cannot make exceptions to our cancellation policy due to Covid, weather, or other extenuating circumstances.

We had an amazing time at the lake house. As others have mentioned, the house is extremely well stocked. We appreciated the beach towels, kayaks, floaties and fishing poles! Truly everything you could need or want for a summer vacation on the lake. Lisa was very responsive when I needed help finding the pack and play, and about resolving a minor shower issue. You can tell she has been doing this for years and knows how to ensure visitors have a smooth stay.

The house was well stocked and clean. Thankfull the AC worked perfectly as the temperature was over 100 degrees,. The water and dock were lovely, BUT, it was over 90 steps (I mean stairs) straight down and the railing was a rope. This is not a property for anyone with any physical limitations. When I expressed surprise that the description did not state the stairs, I was told it was listed and I still cannot find it. We could not make full use of the dock and water because of the steep stairs.

Bats in the house

We ran into many issues unfortunately . The dishwasher was broken this house was being sold and they had an issue during home inspection it should have been replaced taken out and shoved back in did not work and that caused a leak in the sink so water drained all over the kitchen floor. Definitely an issue with baths you can hear them in the rafters and one got in the house also 130 stairs to get to the water . Too bad as it is a cute house decorated nicely . NEEDS to have REPAIRS Made before you allow it to be rebooked.

A fantastic lakeside home from home

The title says it all really. The house is as well equipped as your home, superbly comfortable, has glorious views East over the lake, has space for everyone and was just a delight to stay in. Great Lake House

Great house! The house is fully stocked with everything which was nice. It had a lot of great areas to sit and relax inside and out. There are a decent amount of steps to the water which was fine for us. The host was very accommodating and responsive. I would recommend this house.we had a great time!

Tranquility at its BEST!

What a relaxful fun week we had staying at this home.You literally need to bring NOTHING for your stay except your bathing suit.Lisa the host I communicated with all the time was very helpful,polite and would respond ASAP to all my annoying emails loaded with questions.The house was very clean and the location was perfect.The lake was SO clean and refreshing and the view from the master bedroom was breathtaking..I never closed the binds!!.the lake was amazing..we are water people and we just jumped off the dock and floated on the many blow ups they provided. In addition,we rented a pontoon for 4 full days..that was the best.We took many family rides on it along with swimmimg off of the boat and playing music. We did have a few days of not so nice weather but the family games we played inside compinsated for the weather. The host supplied SO many games which was great.Beautiful big kitchen and the island was our meeting place when we got hangry..LOL The walk down to the dock was very safe with a rope railing and very well done pavers. I will say, it is a hike from the house to the dock so be careful of your elderly guests that you bring.The hottub was used everyday, especially by my husband who had a bad case of siatica recently.The outside deck had enough seating for at least 20 guests...SO much room to relax and enjoy..The view was spectacular especially in the early mornings. I would say this was one of my most memorable vacations. I will never rent on another lake again!

Great house, very spacious. Liked the hot tub. More steps to water than expected. Not ideal for seniors. Kayaks very old could use some updating. Loved the location because close to restaurants and grocery stores. Really enjoyed our stay.

Gorgeous Lake View

We had a phenomenal time at this property. The view of the lake from the deck (and hot tub) was awesome both during the day and at night. The house is set up with so many activities and different places to sit, relax, and enjoy the setting. Everything is set up well to make the stay a positive experience for guests.

Delightful House

This house and property are well appointed and very nice in all respects! The family room with the large, glazed overhead door is a great space (we had the door open during the day, and then closed it in the evening for dinner.) The deck overlooking Candlewood Lake has several nice seating areas, hot tub and fire pit. Down at the lake, there is another nice seating area (along with the dock and boat shed.) Everything was labeled with clear instructions for use (fireplace dampers, hot tub, PlayStation, TVs, fire pit, grill, light switches 
 everything.) It’s also very close to Costco and other shopping in Danbury. I hope to return soon.

Fabulous!

Our second stay at this wonderful home on Candlewood Lake. Even better than the first. It truly felt like coming home! We spent the week with our family (including our 9 month old grandson) and a few friends. House was plenty big for the 8 of us. Kitchen, deck, great room
all fabulous. Enjoyed time on the lake, around the fire pit, in the hot tub and in the house. Lisa was so responsive to us whenever we had a question about the house or the lake. Made great memories! Would highly recommend!

Family Connection

The property was fantastic. We had family staying at another house on the lake and they chose to come to this house every night due to the wonderful views, outdoor setup and shaded area by the lake. The home is great for outdoor entertaining with abundant spaces.

Lovely n Peaceful

We were celebrating our Grandsons graduation
stayed 10 days n rented a boat for 3 of them which we were able to dock @ the house
all amenities were there n communication with the agent was excellent
 enjoyed the hot tub n spent many evenings enjoying the view

Lovely home, lot of thought into providing amentities like the little gift basket, making paper plates available etc. Hot tub was awesome! Only thing to be aware of is the stairs down to the dock are serious (a lot of them!).

Perfect Getaway

We loved this property so much, we came back! Even in the winter, it’s the perfect cozy getaway. This home has everything you could possibly need and then some. Hidden Gem

The home was very nice and quiet and clean. The view was spectacular. A lovely welcome basket when we arrived as well. Bed was comfortable and also had great views of the lake. My favorite part was the jacuzzi tub on back deck. We will definitely be back again in the summer time.
