Fabulous 2 bedroom apartment, luxurious standard, in the very best Royal Mile location. Views onto Royal Mile. Every mod convenience. Designer fabrics, wallpapers, free wifi, internet tv, underfloor heating. Secure entry. Cosy & comfortable. 200 yards from Edinburgh Castle

This apartment can accommodate a maximum of 6 persons. There are two bedrooms; 1 king size double en suite with TV, one twin/double (can be configured either way at guest request), Double sofa bed in livingroom, 2nd bathroom. Bedrooms are peaceful and quiet at night. Open plan fully equiped kitchen/dining/livingroom with 3 windows looking directly onto Royal Mile/Lawnmarket. All windows in the property are double glazed. Bathrooms have under floor heating. There is gas central heating and free wifi. The property retains great period features; old stone fireplaces, exposed ancient stone walls; and yet provides all modern conveniences and striking decoration.

Situated in the historic Old Town of Edinburgh, this is the best place to stay in the city. The Old Town is a World Heritage site. Steeped in history, packed with museums, visitor attractions, specialty shops, restaurants and pubs. Edinburgh castle is 1 minute walk from your front door. This area of the city has a real buzz and is a joy to explore. This apartment is however in a peaceful location late at night with no nightclubs or noisy pubs. This a great place to stay anytime but a prime location during the Edinburgh Festival/Fringe or at New Year.

There were 6 of us over the week end. We really enjoyed our stay. The appartement was perfectly comfortable and adapted to accomodate all of us ( Sitting, tableware,space..) The appartement was perfectly located in the old town center. Would highly recommend the address to anyone looking to visit the city.

This place is in the best location!! Plus, having two full bathrooms with two large bedrooms was great. We loved the stone walls and old Edinburgh feeling of the apartment. The stairs going up to the unit are challenging so it is well worth it to get this 1st floor apt with minimal steps. The host was super -- very organized at getting all of the details to us in advance and always quick to respond to our questions. We highly recommend this place and would stay here again!!

Character!

The entrance and stairs to the unit were our favorite, though hearing bagpipes from the living room, walking 3 minutes up to the castle at night and watching a wedding party walk by were also memorable moments! The place was very comfortable for 2 adults and 2 seventeen year-olds.

Wonderful Stay 10/10! Would recommend to everyone!

My family of 4 was excited to have a holiday in Edinburgh, and this location matched the hope! We walked from the train station which is very doable, the most direct route has some stairs so if you have large bags you may want to find taxi. The communication and check-in was very smooth and clear. Yes, there is a spiral staircase up to the first floor, but it was not bad with some luggage for the 4 of us. The rental was very clean, linens were waiting for us. The kitchen was lovely, and ready for some cooking. The location was ideal, a respite from the the bustle of Royal Mile while still feeling a part of it. Easy walking to all the sites, and took the host's recommendation for a lovely breakfast spot. We would stay again in a heart beat and will recommend at every opportunity.

Wonderful Hide away

The property was amazing, right in the heart of Old Town, but an easy escape from the crowds on the Royal Mile. The property had everything that you would need and was like a step back in time..interior stone in all rooms but has been updated to have all the modern amenities.

A wonderful stay in the heart of Edinburgh

We loved everything about this apartment. The location was AMAZING! The host had great communication and the apartment was clean on arrival. The apartment was in a great area, we could walk around, see some sights head back so our daughter could have lunch and rest. We would definitely stay here again.

In the Heart of Edinburgh’s Old Town

We stayed here for six night and truly loved this apartment and its location. My husband, 9 yro son, and I had plenty of space to spread out and relax in between all of our sight-seeing. The communications from Paul were terrific and he was very responsive. Upon arrival, Paul had set out some snacks for us, which were much appreciated after an overnight flight from the U.S. This apartment comes fully stocked with everything you could need in the kitchen and enough dish soap/laundry soap to hold us over for the week. We did replenish a few items (bathroom tissue, paper towels, etc). There is a washing machine but no dryer, which we knew before arriving. (A drying rack would be a terrific addition but hangers worked just fine, too!) Each room also has hair dryers, which is helpful for those traveling from overseas without proper converters. Both bathrooms were clean and good size. Great water pressure. Nice to have a tub for our son. The windows onto the Main Street kept most of street noise out, and the wooden shutters gave us privacy in the evening. We loved watching the military bands exit the castle following the Tattoo most evenings — and highly recommend watching the full performance if you can get tickets. That was a highlight! We could hear people above us and in the stairwell in the evenings/night time, but white noise or ear plugs helped with that. Recommend closing the doors off of the main door to help reduce outside noise. We expected some noise, however, given the prime location and the festival crowds. The nearest grocery stories are a bit of a walk (.4 - .5 miles) but not too far. Lovely coffee shops, pubs, cafes, and restaurants just steps from the apartment. Recommend making reservations for dinner to avoid long waits. If you want to see Edinburgh and take in all the historic sites and sounds, you cannot beat this amazing location. Also walking distance to the train station for an easy day trip to the coast, etc. Highly recommend this amazing apartment! Thanks, Paul!.

Perfect Old Town Location

We had the absolute privilege of enjoying our time in Edinburgh. My wife and I shared the space with my older parents. The location is excellent. I cannot think of any spot that would be more convenient on the Royal Mile. Even with that prime location, the apartment is very quiet. Initial communication with Paul was quick, clear, and his check-in instructions were concise. You check yourself in and access the building with a keypad, then a lockbox by the door. Paul's instructions were to the point and we had no issue at all with our initial arrival. Inside, everything is comfortable and modern, yet the space has the luxury of old stone walls added in. We commented many, many times at just how wonderful a space this was, taking in the old with the new. Both bedrooms are very spacious and the master has its own ensuite. Having two separate washroom areas adds to the overall comfort and convenience of this apartment. Note, the apartment is on the first level up a set of old spiral stairs. Even though this may seem a bit daunting, my elderly parents quite enjoyed using them just for the atmosphere. If there was any drawback to the apartment, this would be it as moving larger bags up may be a bit harder for some. However, you only do this once when you arrive and once when you leave. Everything else will make you soon forget about this. Just enjoy these beautiful staircase each time you use them! Other conveniences, washing machine, dishwasher, large fridge and freezer and excellent WiFi connection and speed for when I had to work. Absolutely no hesitation to stay here again.

Best location in Edinburgh

Paul the owner, is a pleasure to deal with and answered all my questions immediately. The main bedroom and bathroom is gorgeous, the second bedroom has everything one needs, as does the bathroom. The bathrooms and kitchen are modern and the apartment is in excellent condition plus the kitchen is well equipped We would definitely stay here again and can’t wait to go back.

The apartment is absolutely charming. We found it roomy and well appointed, nicely located near the top of the Royal Mile, up a flight of stairs so there’s a great view without folks looking in the windows, and with all you need (including quiet) to entertain and feed yourselves if you want a little rest time. On top of that, the landlord was helpful, attentive, and responsive, and he went more than the extra mile for us on a few occasions to make sure we enjoyed our stay. First rate! We’d return in a heartbeat.
