It was fun except the restaurants were open for a short periods and on certain days. The only guaranteed restaurant was the buffet. Honestly all the restaurants were buffet style. We had a drip coming from the vent for 2 days, we had it dripping into a waste basket and the air conditioning broke. We had to call to get our safe opened 3 times…so honestly every day out of 7 days we had to call for something. I’m also not one to call or complain, I didn’t complain about the dripping from the ceiling just asked them to fix it. Then the water makes the room smell like sewer if the blue dye isn’t refreshed in the toilet daily…..so honestly every other tropical place I’ve been to is better…I hate to say it….the people were nice…..the ocean was not clear, and everything on the resort was more expensive than if I were to vacation in FL or CA….

A RIU property never disappoints! Beautiful facilities, beautiful views and clean comfortable rooms! Always avoid naming staff members because I’ll for sure leave out someone that made our stay extra enjoyable. Everyone there is always very friendly and takes pride in their work. We had such a great experience at RIU! The entire resort was extremely clean, from the rooms to the common areas. The grounds were absolutely beautiful and very well maintained — you can tell they take a lot of pride in keeping everything looking nice. The landscaping really made it feel like a relaxing tropical getaway. The food was decent with a good variety of options, and we were always able to find something we enjoyed. Overall, it was a really good experience from start to finish. The atmosphere was welcoming, and we truly enjoyed our stay. I would definitely come back and recommend it to others looking for a clean, beautiful resort with a great vibe! 🌴✨

The staff have been amazing, so friendly and helpful. The service is top notch. The app was neat, but also takes away from connecting with humans :-) Rooms are very clean, amenities are great and the new renovations are fantastic! Great Resort.

the first impression of the resort was visually beautiful lush plants and impressive build. However, the check-in experience was disappointing. My friend and I were both celebrating our birthdays and requested birthday dinners for each of us. We were told only one birthday dinner is allowed per room, which felt unreasonable — especially since the “celebration” consisted of a few balloons, a dessert, and a short song. Nothing extravagant. The staff member who checked us in was not very informative. No physical map of the resort was provided, and we were told all information was available in the app — which unfortunately was not accurate. We upgraded from a jungle-view room (essentially a mountain view) to an ocean view for an additional $10. The bellman who escorted us was much more helpful. The rooms were clean. However, the hallways and common areas are completely white and feel cold and sterile, almost like a hospital — lacking warmth or decoration. Basic amenities such as toothbrushes and toothpaste are not provided. There was no shower gel initially; Coffee was not refilled after use. At one point, an alarm went off throughout the entire resort with no communication or explanation. Reaching the front desk by phone is difficult. There is no room service at all. Dining options are limited . Suggestions for Improvement: The resort needs more staff, more entertainment, working room se

Let me start out by saying that the staff was wonderful, the grounds were great and the big buffet was very good! The problem is with the “specialty” restaurants. They do not take reservations and open at 6pm for dinner. If you are not in line by 5:30, you have at least 1-2 hr wait. Not 1 out of 7 people thought the steak restaurant was any good. The food in these restaurants are sub par.

Came back from an excursion late went directly our room and the bedding were off our beds. Seem to us that the cleaning crew came in started cleaning but just left and didn’t come back. Call front desk and with 15 mins had a lady come and bring bedding sheets and she cleaned our room. First time this has happened to us! Other than that resort was well kept and everyone very nice and helpful!
