The apartment was designed by a well-known architect from the 1990s and was renovated just a few years ago. Much of the furniture was designed specifically for this home by the architect himself.
The apartment consists of an entryway, a living room, a main bedroom with a double bed and a mezzanine for closets to maximize living space, a bathroom with a shower, and a fully equipped kitchenette. Another mezzanine above the living room provides space for two single beds and a home office.
The apartment is on the first floor of a historic building facing a small, quiet square in the Santa Croce area.

The apartment is situated in the historic centre, right next to Santa Croce Square and its church—widely regarded as one of the most beautiful in Florence. The Santa Croce area is undoubtedly one of the nicest in the historic centre—not only for its monuments but also for the many small shops and restaurants that, especially at night, make its alleys lively and enjoyable.
Santa Croce Church is undoubtedly the main attraction here—it houses the tombs of some of Florence’s most iconic figures, such as Michelangelo and Galileo. The large square that opens up right in front of the church is often the site of special events, such as the Calcio Storico (or Historical Football). In fact, every June, the stone pavement is covered with sand, literally transforming the square into an arena surrounded by bleachers.
Given the beauty and amenities of the location, it’s easy to say that Santa Croce is among the favourite areas to live in Florence.
The apartment is located in a restricted traffic zone (ZTL) because it is in the heart of Florence’s historic centre. If you arrive by car, the best option is to park before entering the restricted traffic zone, which is about a 3- to 4-minute walk from the apartment. The nearest entrance to the restricted zone is on Lungarno delle Grazie, a street near the Arno River where there are several parking lots. These parking lots are free from 8:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m., but you must pay during the day. There are automated payment machines near the parking lot; the ticket must be displayed inside the car.
Please be careful, as there are cameras at the entrance to the restricted traffic area that photograph licence plates and then issue a fine to the driver.
Given the current global situation related to health issues, we have decided to increase our focus and the time we dedicate to CLEANING and SANITATION. We handle this with the help of professionals who sanitize every surface in the apartment after a guest’s stay. This increased focus affects our cleaning costs, but we believe it is an investment in health and safety in the long term. We can all agree that cutting corners on health would not be wise. We hope you understand and support us in this decision.
