The Madison
The Madison is just two blocks from downtown Frederick's foodie and cultural scene. This Neo-colonial two bedroom rowhouse was built c. 1860 and reflects the flirty combination of new and old that is the trademark of downtown Frederick. The carefully curated main living space is open and memorably stylish. The kitchen is a chef's dream with tons of light and brand new appliances. Each bedroom was custom designed features top of the line mattresses and down pillows, and each boasting an en suite bath. The spacious backyard has a fire pit and patio seating.
We stayed for a week to tour college campuses for our son and are also considering moving there. We felt at home at The Madison and in the community. The house is exactly as described and in a great location to experience Frederick.
The house was clean and well appointed. Had everything we needed. It had snowed prior to our arrival which made the on street parking a little messy at times. It was also freezing cold so we ended up taking a car most places but it appeared walking to many downtown places would have been nice if weather had permitted. The beds and linens were very nice. The only issue was that they had a problem with the downstairs bathroom that could not be corrected before our arrival. They notified us just before arrival and did compensate us for the inconvenience. We would definitely stay there again.
My friend and I enjoyed five nights at the Madison. We were very happy with everything. The beds and pillows were wonderful. Loved the decor and cleanliness. The location was great for exploring downtown Frederick and Carrol Creek and day trips to Annapolis, DC, and Harperâs Ferry.
If you want to stay in a beautifully decorated, comfortable house with comfortable beds and linens, spotless bathroom with lots of hot water, easy parking and great communication - rent this house in Frederick. We spent 3 nights here and would try to stay here again. It is not downtown - but in less than 10 minutes you can be parked there or you could walk. The master bedroom suite is big and homey and there is a second master suite. There is a 1/2 bath next to the kitchen. We were pleasantly surprised by the house warming gift of the makings for S'Mores. We are the graham crackers and the chocolates and took the huge marshmallows for our grandchildren. the only thing I would change would be to add additional reading lights on the 1st floor. If I didn't use a Kindle I would not have had enough light without turning on all the bright hi-hat lights. this place is a gem.
My adult daughter and I needed to stay two nights for a big wedding nearby. This place was clean, clean, clean with a beautiful interior and easy parking.
The two upstairs bathrooms and two bedrooms with very comfortable beds (fabulous sheets!) suited us well. The well-equipped kitchen had a Keurig with provided pods that we certainly used.
We also ate the provided graham crackers that were supposed to be used for S'Mores at the house fire pit. Sorry! We needed them as post-wedding dancing recovery treats as we watched the last halves of our two college football teams in the living room. The surround-sound there allowed us to keep the volume low for the neighbors.
Location of this stay: We had one big problem. We were going to be surprisingly cold at this outdoor wedding. Thank goodness, we had several hours Saturday morning to take the short easy walk into the Frederick business district, where we found a delightful selection of layers for us at so many different and pretty stores. We had a great early brunch/lunch at Hooch and Banner.
We are grateful for the stay, and we're figuring out how to get back here with our husbands.
A friend & I enjoyed a fabulous weekend in beautiful Frederick. The Madison is an absolutely wonderful place to stay! Itâs impeccably clean, located in a friendly & quiet neighborhood, bright interior, quality beds & bathrooms, nice outdoor space in back garden. Communication with owner was incredibly responsive. I highly recommend this property and would stay here again!
We had a lovely stay at your beautiful home while we dropped our daughter off for her first year at Hood College. It was the perfect location, quiet, clean, and beautifully decorated. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home!
The location was great- really convenient to downtown and close to the highways for all of our side trips. The house is impeccably decorated and has all of the amenities you need. There is often a lot of noise in these older row houses but not this one! We enjoyed sitting out on the back patio in the evenings. The neighbors are friendly and the neighborhood is safe to walk around.
This property ended up being 30 min away from where our sports tournament was. However, it was amazing and we are so glad we booked it. Super clean and the location was awesome. Such a cute town with fun shops and restaurants. And the property manager was amazing to work with.
A wonderful property in the heart of historic Frederick. Beautifully decorated and spotlessly maintained. Great communication with the owner. Looking forward to many return visits!!!
This property was by far the coolest I have ever stayed in. Very clean. It was in a great area close to the town of Fredrick. Beautifully decorated. Beds were comfy⊠great outdoor area⊠my only regret is I forgot to sign the guestbook!!
We loved the fun art throughout the house, and the great indoor and outdoor areas to hang out. Loved being able to walk to restaurants in downtown Frederick!
This beautifully decorated home was perfect for a weekday family get together. Walking distance to downtown Frederick and plenty of room for 4 adults and our 8 month old granddaughter. We luckily had beautiful weather to enjoy the private outdoor space. Would highly recommend and would definitely come back when weâre in the Frederick area.
Very nicely decorated. Comfortable beds, nice towels and great little kitchen. All the extras were so nice ⊠shampoo, conditioner, body wash, soap in the bathrooms, dish detergent. Even a sâmores kit that maybe we can use next stay (unfortunately the rain kept us inside. Close to restaurants and downtown shopping. Perfect for the three of us. Would definitely stay here again. Thank you for a wonderful place to stay while visiting family:)
