At first impression we thought the hotel and room were very nice. In appearance, they were. However, once checked in and in our room we had issues that were not resolved even with asking the Front Desk clerk for help.
The blinds on the large window are supposed to close with a remote. They did not work, even when front desk clerk tried. This meant our room was lit up from street and business sogn lights all night.
The toulet paper holder holds 2 rolls but it kept flipping over and almost off the wall. Broken.
The breakfast was not very good. Pancakes were a gummy texture. Apples had rotten spots on them. Muffin very dry. Scrambled eggs cold. The boiled egg in fridge was very good and coffee was good.
Did not realize cost of stay was in U.S dollars. I have an Expedia app and didnât realize it wasnât Canadian. The staf was quite rude at the front desk when I questioned the cost. I guess it was my error, but the person told me that because I used a service provider there was going to be an additional charge. Also, coming in on a Saturday, I was not aware that there would be no cleaning service in the room I.e. towels, bed making , coffee supplies, cups, creamer etc. We were equipped with 2 styrofoam cups. Three Kerrigan pods and 2 packets of non dairy creamer for a 2 day stay. I can make my own bed and realize that changing sheets every day may environmentally unfriendly, but I feel the cost was exorbitant for what we received.
The hotel is fairly new and very clean. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Included breakfast very delicious with hot and cold options. Rooms were clean with all required amenities.
