We've always stayed at the Ala Moana because the service is very good, location is central for our needs and the mall so close is very convenient. The room is large and there is a large "open space" between the bed and the sliding glass door/window. I wish they would put a small table in that space with 2 chairs so we could sit down to eat. There is a small shelf along the wall that you can use to eat off of but not convenient. Self-parking available in their underground lot but $41/day is pretty steep but I guess comparable to other places.
