Note: As seen in the photos, an exterior staircase leads to an extra studio apartment guest suite with it`s own private entrance located on the 2nd floor (not included in this listing. The unit is currently leased to other guests who may share the outdoor space with you.



- THE NEIGHBORHOOD -

Woodland Heights is a charismatic neighborhood just north of downtown Houston. Bustling with vibrant culture, an art scene, and an eccentric yet homey vibe, it’s an area that you are sure to fall in love with. Come enjoy mellow cafes, trendy breweries, and an incredible array of food all within just a few miles: Walking, Uber, or quick driving distance!



For our highly esteemed medical professional visitors, the majority of Houston’s largest hospitals are within 7 miles:

⚕ Texas Medical Center, St. Joseph’s, Harris Health, and more.



Public transportation via bus (2 min walk) and Houston’s MetroLine Light Rail (15 min walk) is within convenient distance of the property.

From its beautiful gated entryway, you will be welcomed into your sweet home-away-from-home and greeted by a spacious open concept living area.



The flow-through floor plan allows you to enjoy the living room, dining room, and kitchen with its beautiful boho-chic inspired décor from the moment you step through the front door.



Kick off your shoes and sink into the comfy, high-quality couch to enjoy a few moments of rest after your travels!



When ready to continue exploring your new space, meander through the dining room and into the kitchen to take in the unique colors and style highlighted during recent upgrades. Here you will find ample cabinet space, stainless steel appliances and granite countertops covered in amenities to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable.



- MASTER SUITE -

From the kitchen you will step down into the sprawling master suite. First the master bathroom in all its rainfall shower and double-vanity glory, then the master bedroom itself, tucked into the very back of the house. The giant king-size bed with luxury 12” mattress will be calling your name!!



This place of peace and tranquility features its own private reading nook, enormous walk-in closet, super soft rugs and linens, dimmable bedside lights, and a full-length mirror.



Here you will also find a private entrance/exit for direct access to the outdoor fire pit, grassy yard, and covered parking!



Retrace your steps through the kitchen and living area to the front of the house and discover the unique personalities of bedrooms #2 and 3 awaiting your arrival.



- BEDROOM #2 -

We’ve nicknamed the second bedroom the `Dreamy Den` as the picture of warmth, tranquility and downright coziness to the extreme! It features a queen-size bed with another delightful 12” mattress. String lights shine from above, flickering softly onto the accent wall displaying large studio prints gallery-style which you have to see in person to fully appreciate.



For all my traveling professionals, this room would be ideal for a night-shifter. Décor and lighting provide a warm aesthetic but with the window situated below the covered parking area, natural light is somewhat restricted. This should make sleep during daylight hours much more manageable.



It offers gentle lighting, a large closet with hanging space, and a reading corner with a few classic books.



- BEDROOM #3 -

The third bedroom is our take on the ecclectic `Space Cowboy` theme which features bright and eye-catching wall paper combined with space themed decor and pillows.



- EXTRA BED -

A Coleman 18 inch Queen double-high airbed with rechargeable air pump is stored in the hallway closet along with bedding and available for guest use.



In total, there are 6 beds available if including the air mattress.

- The daybed is twin sized when in the normal position. It pulls out and extends to approximately queen size for two people to share comfortably with two twin mattresses side by side.

- MAIN BATHROOM -

A full bathroom, with bathtub, is situated between bedrooms 2 and 3.



- OUTDOOR DELIGHTS -

Finally, let’s talk about the great outdoors! The yard of our Texan cottage is truly splendid. A massive pecan tree which has seen generations of memories spreads its broad limbs over the area. It also gives generously its never-ending gift of leaves! We do have frequent lawn care scheduled to keep up on leaf management but please accept our sincerest apologies if the yard occasionally looks unkept from tree debris, especially during the fall season.



Here you will find a grassy area for kids to play as the adults relax with a chilled beverage in the large seating area around the fire pit. Alternatively, set the mood for a romantic evening with your lover under the string lights with a glass of wine. And hey, maybe serenade her with the new song you learned on the ukulele!



- FIRE PIT -

We try to keep a small amount of kindling and basic fire starting supplies stocked for your use and enjoyment of the fire pit. If you do plan to have a fire, please try to bring a few pieces of firewood as we usually do not have enough to support the needs of each and every group. Also feel free to bring marshmallows or hot dogs! Roasting sticks ARE provided.



- EVENTS -

Small, select events may be permitted with advance approval. Please reach out prior to booking to discuss the particulars of your special event and to find out if our home will be a suitable location to fit your needs.



- SUMMARY -

All in all, it’s our highest aim for our guests to feel downright loved-on and pampered during their stay at our home! This is your new Texas-town oasis. It is our sincerest hope that the space and the amenities included in your stay provide an experience unlike any other; one highlighted by rest, delicious sleep, sweet connections with the ones you love most and exciting explorations of a new city!

To maximize your time in Houston we always recommend guests rent a car and drive whenever they can. We have 2 covered spaces available under the carport and an additional space located on the driveway. Additionally there`s tons of parking in front of the house available. We know it may not look like it, but don`t worry you can totally park there!



Due to a raised kitchen, there are several small steps (6 inches) throughout the home. Please use caution in these zones as to avoid tripping. Additionally, for this reason, this property is not wheelchair accessible.



There are several insects and small animals that are native to the area. The home and neighborhood features beautiful tall mature trees and wooded areas. You can expect to encounter one or more native insects such as: bees, ants, tree cockroaches or mosquitoes. Additionally, it’s not uncommon to see lizards, opossums, and squirrels. Although some if these may be unsightly, they are a part of the local ecosystem. We know pest control is important and we have a regular service that maintains our home to prevent/ reduce the presence of insects. Although we take extra steps to mitigate pests it’s impossible to completely avoid them, especially outdoors.
