We very much enjoyed our stay in this beautiful apt. It is centrally located in Baixa and all places of interest were within easy walking distances. The apt was spacious and all the amenities worked well. Would have liked a bit better stocked kitchen strongly recommend this apt

The apartment was disappointing. The furniture in the living room was very uncomfortable. The 2 rattan chairs were broken under the cushions and couldn’t be sat on comfortably. The cushions of the sofa kept shifting forward and also uncomfortable. The upholstery was also stained. One of the stools in the kitchen is broken. The seat is not attached and The air conditioner was loud and not working well. Fortunately the weather cooperated and it wasn’t bad. The beds were super firm but worked for us. The bathroom had a sewage smell and no ventilation. This was mentioned in previous reviews and we had hoped would have been corrected. The walls could use a painting due to scuffs and stains. The rug in the living room does not have a gripper under it and moves around while walking on it. The location was great. Very short walk to Rus da Augusta to all the shops and cafes. The staff was polite and easy to work with. I would give it 5 stars if the issues I mentioned were addressed.

The location was great, no better way to do old town. The apartment bathroom had a weird smell. The building was not maintained well as there was dust everywhere. Great overall!

All We Had Hoped & More

This property was absolutely fantastic and even better than we thought. The host was very responsive and the home was warm and welcoming. I suggest saving in getting the 3 day Lisboa pass because with the location of this apartment, everything you could ever need and want was in walking distance. Thank you and we will definitely be back!!

Just okey

Location was good. We walked to the major attractions. The apartment was clean but the check in process is not easy. The security code to get into the-building didn’t always work. The furniture was really uncomfortable!

The apartment is in a beautiful old building with azulejos on the walls. It is spacious and overall lovely but the furniture is pretty beat up. The bathroom has some mold. Hot water is kind of a problem. It was either scalding hot or cold. And the street is noisy so we slept with closed windows. Other than that we enjoyed the stay and the communication with the manager of the property. The location is basically perfect so I would still recommend it despite the things mentioned above.

Overall, this is a great location Unfortunately, the apartment is very poorly maintained, chairs broken, sofas stained, stains and marks on walls, water heater doesn't work all the time, bathroom has mold due to lack or proper cleaning, apartment was poorly cleaned and there was dust all over the furniture and bedrooms. Property manager company is not local, so they are not really involved in the quality of their product.

Was looking forward to this apartment due to location, but unit (and building) much neglected. Pros: 1. Keyless entry for both building and unit works flawlessly 2. Location. Easy walk to grocery, street elevators, metro. 3. Size/spaciousness Cons: 1. Both unit and building interiors dirty/neglected. Unit had many marks on walls, some holes in walls, even, splatters from spills on baseboards. Trim on Ikea kitchen cabinets peeling badly which interferes with cabinet doors closing. 2. Finicky water heater - after long use of boiler (e.g. shower) boiler does not re-light and water heater throws "EA" error code. Seems like water heater needs some long break between extended uses 3. Building elevator needs serious maintenance. Does not come when called and often gets stuck between floors - which is definitely unacceptable and a bit frightening. I would not have booked a 3rd floor unit had I known elevator unusable. 4. Kinda hard to lock balcony doors when inside handle to one of them is broken off (although not a huge deal because unit is 3 stories up). This also affects noise level as door cannot effectively engage seal.

Great location, decent apartment, poor communication.

The reason I’m giving this accommodation 2 stars is because the apartment is in an excellent location, walking distance from many restaurants and attractions. The negatives: the check-in process was not at all smooth. We arrived at the office at 3 pm to pick up our luggage and were told the apartment wouldn’t be ready until 5 pm. This was a huge inconvenience as we arrived on a night flight from Canada and were very tired and not happy about having to go without accommodations an additional 2 hours. Once we were finally told the apartment was ready, we arrived and initially had trouble entering the building. We were not able to contact anyone through VRBO for assistance, but eventually figured it out on our own. The apartment itself was not very well appointed, and not super clean (rugs were filthy). The water pressure in the taps and shower was not existent. Check-out time is at 11 am. We asked if we could leave at 11:30 am to suit our outgoing flight and received written confirmation that our request would be accommodated. We stepped out for breakfast across the street, and when we arrived back at 11:18 am, we found the code to the apartment had already been changed and we were unable to access our luggage. We again were unable to contact anyone for assistance through VRBO. We had to borrow a local phone from the restaurant across the street to contact the office to arrange access to our luggage. Overall: not impressed and would not rent from Altido again.

Great location

5 minute walk to Los Arcos and Avenida Augusta’s shops and cafes. Be prepared for some hills although this area is less hilly compared to Barrio Alto and Chiado Home is clean. Did have some issues with internet signal. Management was very helpful and responsive
