Summary:

This centrally located 1 bedroom apartment is in an enviable location just off the Fulham Road in Chelsea. The apartment has everything required for up to 2 guests to enjoy a comfortable and homely stay in a prestigious area of London. There's a double bedroom with crisp linen and fresh towels, spacious living room, as well as a fully equipped kitchen and bathroom.



The Space:

This lovely top floor apartment is light and airy, and features comfortable furnishings and modern appliances throughout. The open plan living space has large original windows that bathe the space in light, also allowing access out to the full length balcony through the french doors, with views across the rooftops of Chelsea. There's a sofa, Tv and dining table, as well as a fully equipped kitchen that has everything you need to cook, including an oven, hob, fridge/freezer, kettle, toaster, pots & pans and utensils. The spacious double bedroom features a comfortable bed made up with crisp hotel linen, and also has access out on to another balcony, complete with table and chairs - the perfect spot to enjoy a morning coffee! There is also bathroom with a shower over bath, as well as fluffy towels and complimentary toiletries for you to use.

The Neighborhood:

Located in Chelsea, an affluent area of London, there is an abundance of shops, restaurants, cafes and bars all on your doorstep. Stamford Bridge, the home of Chelsea Football club is just 10 minutes walk away. The river Thames is also close-by, where you can enjoy a walk along the Embankment towards the Tate Modern, Westminster and Central London. Battersea Park is just across the River - the perfect spot for a peaceful evening stroll. The Natural History Museum is just a 15 minute walk or short taxi ride away.



Getting Around:

There are a number of shops, supermarkets restaurants and amenities all within easy walking distance of the apartment. The nearest Underground Stations are South Kensington and West Brompton, both a 15 minute walk in either direction. Taxi's can be hailed easily from the main road around the corner, as well as a number of bus routes for anyone looking to take in the city sights from the top deck!



Other Things to Note:

-Please note you must confirm your check in time 24 hours in advance in order to arrange and confirm your check in.

-All guests must present their passport/ID upon check-in

-For check-ins after 10pm there will be fees



-If you fail to arrive at the property within an hour from your scheduled arrival time there will be a fee of ÂŁ10 for each extra hour you are late. If we need to rearrange your check-in to a later time on the day there will be a ÂŁ20 fee (if the check-in is later than 22:00 late check-in fees will also apply).

-If you are delayed, please let us know in advance, and depending on the notice, we may be able to able to rearrange check-in.

- For check-ins between 22:00 and 00:00 there is a ÂŁ50 fee.

- For check-ins after 00:00 there is a ÂŁ75 fee

- We may be able to arrange a late check-out after 10am if you let us know in advance and depending on the availability of the property.

- Late check-outs are charged at ÂŁ10 per hour after 10am.

- If you break something, let us know before you check-out so that we can replace it before the next guest arrives.

The carpets need a good clean in the building, communication with the property manager was touch and go - they would not always answer the messages and would be on hold a few times - check in was a mess - they did not show up once and did not come to pick up the keys, the property had a massive spider, needed a good scrubbing, and the cabinet was off the hinges and had hair in it. Photos are not representative of the property but it would be wonderful with a good renovation. I had messaged the host that I was leaving so they can relist the flat and they never replied.

Horrible, Filthy, Misrepresented Property

This property should be banned from VRBO! It is misrepresented in the advertising. The pictures are misleading, the condition is absolutely filthy and I am extremely suspect of mold in the flat! The apartment is on the top floor of a 5 story building and there is NO mention of not having an elevator to transport luggage. The condition of the building is unacceptable and totally unkept including the unsafe front steps that are missing numerous tiles. I am contacting the property manager and requesting a full refund siting filthy and unsafe conditions, and misleading advertising.

NO HOT WATER

We arrived for a short 36 hour stay in this apartment and once checked in (which they were 45 minutes late to let us in) and we tried using the sinks to wash up. There was no hot water. I called and no one answered so I messaged the host through the app. No response all night soI called the number provided again in the morning and I got some sort of operator, who said she would tell the property manager to send someone out to fix it. She could not give an ETA. We were out all day, and when we came home in the evening, there still was no hot water, no call or contact from anyone. I messaged them again explaining the urgency, and after several hours I got a similar response that they would send someone out. We left the next morning, still without hot water, and never saw anyone come try to fix it.

First off, check in is at 3 pm in the contract. I got there at 5:30 and waited in the cold forv2 HOURS for someone to open the door and let me in. Only instead of apology telling I’m only opening doors I’m doing this for the company and it’s not my fault that you waited. Second: anything out side the four walls of the house was filthy! Dirty! Nasty! While I was waiting outside for 2 hours I saw 2 mice outside the bottom flat. TV channels were not working, every 4-5 minutes it asked me for a stupid PIN code!!! watched YouTube when I was in. No one even called and apologized for keeping me outside for 2 hours!! Oh!! NO lIFT and the flat is on the 4th floor with a really really really narrow staircase!!!!

NO HOT WATER and no response to try to fix it.

We were planning on staying here for multiple trips between now and the end of October, but we have since cancelled all additional stays here. We got there and waited almost 45 minutes to be let in, despite pre-scheduling the time of our arrival. Then, when we had the chance to try to use the hot water, there was none. I called the number provided around 10:00pm, but got no answer. I sent a note via VRBO at that time and received no response. I called again in the morning and spoke to a woman (who I assume is just in a call center). She assured me it would be set as an urgent request and someone would be out promptly to fix it. No one ever showed. I then got a canned message saying, "We hope you enjoyed your stay..." to which I responded saying again that we have no hot water (it had been almost 24 hours at this point). I did get a response, but it was much of the same, saying that they forwarded our issue to someone and they would get back to me. I never heard from them. We reserved this place for a short stop in London to have a shower and do laundry before we moved on into Europe, but we weren't able to do any of these things. Completely defeated the purpose for our stay here. This is why I usually don't stay at VRBOs managed by companies, rather than individuals. Will not do this again, nor stay here again.

you get what you pay for

First the pros

great location near restaurants, coffee shops and stores. Close to several public transit stops. The unit is very sunny. Now the cons
..there are many flights of stairs to walk up and stairwell isn't exactly clean. Found a black hair on our towels when we arrived. Property manager wasn't super timely with their communication. Furniture is stained. And worst of all, the flat seems to be directly under the flight path of planes leaving Heathrow which meant EARLY morning wakeups! I guess you get what you pay for.

disappointing stay

This flat is advertised as "bright and spacious"

it definitely is bright, especially at 6 am when the sun streams through the windows because there aren't any blackout blinds. Not advertised is that the early morning flight path of planes departing Heathrow goes directly overhead! We found a black hair on our towels, the lamps were missing bulbs, and the furniture was stained. Communication with the property manager was difficult - either it took them days to respond, or sometimes not at all. There were a few "bright spots", including the nice location with coffee shops and restaurants close by and the small terrace out front. Would not recommend.

Chelsea short visit

The unit is on the 3rd floor and means some staircase climbing. While the unit itself is in good condition there property common areas from ground floor to 2nd floor is littered with dirt. I mentioned this to my host and was informed they have no control over the other units/apartments dirty staircase. I appreciate the host allows me an early check-in.
