This quiet light bright two double bedroom property is located on the lower ground floor of a Victorian conversion.
The apartment consists of a comfortable spacious living room with feature skylights, MODERISED kitchen with integrated appliances including dishwasher, washing machine, clothes-dryer, microwave, fridge oven & ceramic hob, toaster, kettle, cutlery, central heating etc.

There is also a TV and DVD player with miscellaneous CDs and DVDS as well as its own book collection, so you can curl up with a novel on cosy sofas after a day’s sight-seeing.

*The rental price is inclusive of all electricity and heating charges, council tax, towels, sheets and linen and also staples in the kitchen (tea, coffee, sugar, salt, pepper)*
Indeed this inclusive rate is unusual for a London apartment as most charge extra for taxes etc.
There are two compact double bedrooms with comfortable double beds. The wet room is new and it's fantastic!
The second bedroom is the bedroom I was using when the photographer came (hence slightly creased bedclothes!!) It also has a TV in this bedroom.
This room has a door leading to outside space. The outside space is small, but very useful for laundry purposes.

Bookings may begin on the afternoon of the departure date of a previous guest. However, if you have bags, you are welcome to drop them off earlier while the flat is being cleaned.

Access from Heathrow Airport couldn't be easier; take the tube directly to Gloucester Road on the Piccadilly Line, with no changes required. Takes about forty minutes. From Gatwick, the Gatwick Express leaves every fifteen minutes to Victoria station which is fifteen minutes away by cab to the flat or 3 straight tube stops to Gloucester Rd tube.

Or we have a driver who will pick you up from Heathrow. His charges are:- ÂŁ48 pick up from any terminal. ÂŁ38 to drop off.

Location can not be beaten (check my reviews) with just a few minutes walking distance to Natural History Museum, V&A or catch a concert at the Albert Hall home to the Proms, the world’s great classical music festival.

Most important is the closeness to the tube with West-end theaters 15 mins tube ride. It's only a 5 minute walk to Hyde Park as well as Kensington High St.

I must stress that when staying in London, location, location and location is of the utmost importance and having 3 central tube lines will get you anywhere you need to get to in London without having to change lines.

Knightsbridge is close by with the famous Harrods, it's only a 5 minutes walk to Gloucester Rd tube.

The 49 bus (3 mins walk from the flat) takes you to the new billion pound shopping complex Westfield, passing Kensington High St on the way.

There are many international restaurants and bars in the area. Quality shopping at Waitrose and nearby Sainsburys supermarkets.

Un charmant appartement trÚs bien placé

Nous avons beaucoup apprécié notre logement à Londres (2 adultes et 2 jeunes filles de 12 et 14 ans). L'appartement est trÚs bien placé '(quartier des musées des sciences et histoire naturelle), a proximité de la station de métro Glouscester road et du bus 74. L'appartement est trÚs joli, bien équipé dans un quartier cossu avec des commerces proches. Julie, la propriétaire est trÚs prévenante, facile à contacter par mail ou SMS, elle répond à toute demande trÚs rapidement. En raison des puits de lumiÚres (voir photo), il vaut mieux se munir de masques noirs pour dormir si vous ne supportez pas la lumiÚre. Nous en avons d'ailleurs trouvé 2 sur place. En conclusion, je recommande vivement ce logement

We were visiting for my daughter’s graduation and this flat was the perfect place to stay. It was clean, warm and inviting! The location can’t be beat! Centrally located and so close to the tube. It was so nice after a long day to come back to the flat to relax and get a good night’s sleep. The beds are comfortable and the flat size was perfect for our family of four. We would definitely stay here again.

This apartment worked well for our family since we were only there to sleep. Everyday we were up early and home late. It is the garden apartment so there are some steps to get down that can be a little steep for bringing bags up and dorm. They are the standard steps for any garden apartment in this area. We ate at a couple of restaurants and everyone was so nice in the area. It was super convenient with the Tube being only a 5 minute walk. Kensington Palace is only a 12-minute walk from the apartment.Communication with the owner was great. She was always available. We had coffee or tea in the morning and there was sugar already there. The fridge is a small under cabinet kind of fridge. It was great to use the washer and dryer and the instructions were very easy. Like most have mentioned, the apartment has some TLC that is needed. The towels were older, there is no plug in the bathroom to get ready. The only option is the plug by the “fireplace” for a mirror. The rugs in the bathroom are thin and kind of pointless to have in there. The toilet seat moves so be careful when sitting. The location was perfect and overall it worked out great for us!!!

Amazing location and great value if you look for a 2BR at a reasonable price.Lovely place with 2 nice-size bedroom, the location is A and the neighborhood is stunning. We stayed for 3 nights and had all the necessities for the stay. There is a washer and dryer, dishwasher and enough kitchen utensils and cookware to stock up for breakfasts or dinners.It was very cosy and quite at night and the location allows for exploration of many of the London neighborhoods worth a visit, including Kensington, Notting Hill. Overall positive experience. Despite being a basement flat, lighting in living room was very nice. Stairs down to flat are steep. A few concerns - Lighting in bathroom and bedrooms inadequate. It was warm during our stay and only one fan was working. Towels and sheets need an upgrade. Door in bedroom only opens halfway. Nice, quiet neighborhood. Julie was responsive. Location, location, location. Perfect place to base yourself to explore London. Lovely and quiet, yet so close to everything. Only five minutes walk to Gloucester Road Tube Station,10 minutes walk to Kensington Gardens and 30 minute walk to Harrods. The unit has everything you need including ability to cook meals if thats what youre after. Would certainly stay here again.

Nice stay

A wonderful location with proximity to the tube and excellent restaurants and shops. The flat itself was pleasant but as some others have said, could be made nicer with some attention to details. Kitchen and bathroom were nice and updated. The bedrooms were small but did the job. I was surprised by the communication with the host as previous reviewers spoke highly of her prompt replies. We sent a few questions and didn’t receive a response. However, she graciously allowed us to check in early and after a long night of travel that was a wonderful gift. Overall, I would stay again especially given the location.

Our stay at this flat was perfect for our 3 nights in London. Although on the compact side, the flat was perfectly located in Kensington with easy access to everything we needed! We also used Julie’s driver recommendation for airport transfers and he was great. Communication with Julie was easy and fast. As others have noted, the flat could use a few updates to make it even better. In addition to new bedding, the rugs in the bathroom could use an upgrade. Outside these minor changes, the flat worked great for our stay.

Beauty in the heart of Kensington

Scenic location

The location was fantastic. Walking distance to station, restaurants , shops and tourist attractions.Steps down to the basement apartment were challenging with luggage in tow. Younger people than us would handle it okay. The apartment was bright and light thanks to the skylights.The lounge, dining and kitchen areas were okay, the bedrooms cramped.Somethings need attention. The shower dripped the whole time we were there, the toilet seat needs to be tightened. Shelving in the bathroom would help with storage of toiletries. Towels and linen need updating. The drawers in the bedroom cupboard were unusable. Small jobs that would make a big difference to the comfort of guests .Julie, the host was always quick to respond to queries and helpful with advice. She was kind enough to let us store our luggage in the apartment until the early afternoon of our departure to the airport.

Great location with cramped bedrooms

The flat was lovely and in a great location but the beds were against and the mattresses were old. The sheets were worn out and kept coming off. Other than that the basement flat was really nice and spacious.
