This was a retreat for me, so it was very peaceful and calm, the only thing was that some of the dishes were dirty, when i went to use them and the shower had hair in it. But nothing i didn't mind cleaning because i always clean a place before i fully unpack. But i would definitely come back

The loft was very spacious and clean The view especially in the evening was beautiful. The millers were very polite. At every interaction. I stayed there to visit my son and granddaughters for their birthday. Who Lives in the area Would love to stay there again in the future.

Delightful and quiet stay

The apartment is huge and in great condition. The owners/ hosts are very gracious and helpful. There are no electrical outlets, so I was concerned about charging my cellphone. Chris brought a 12V battery with an adapter that speed-charged my cellphone. I used it for the entire 3 days I was there, and had full cell phone service the whole time (thru the cell towers, not wireless internet). There is plenty of necessary lighting, albeit not what we are used to with normal electrified homes. If there is anything you need, don't be shy to ask Chris or Regina. When I mentioned leaving my hair dryer at home, Regina offered to bring me another 12V battery with a hairdryer that I could borrow, although I decided I did not need it. They have thought of many extras, like a coffee corner with k-pods and a type of French Press coffeemaker. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

The Most Wonderful Stay!

We had an absolutely wonderful time at the loft unplugged! Regina and Crist were wonderful hosts and very responsive to our needs. Upon arrival, my kids were so excited to have so many toys to play with! It was like a kid’s toy wonderland. We got to know our hosts and play with the horses, catch lightning bugs & sit around the campfire. The weather was cool and it was so nice to open the windows at night as we never have the opportunity to do that in Florida. We didn’t even miss the TVs. We played games and truly enjoyed being “unplugged”. If you’re looking for a place to unwind and enjoy your family time away from the usual pace of life, this is your spot. The beds were comfortable & they provided coffee and some food and cereal bars. They also provided toiletries which was so nice to not have to think about. We will definitely stay again the next time we come. Thank you again Regina and Crist for providing such a wonderful place for us to stay and connect with our family!

Unplugged from devices and recharged ourselves

We had a fantastic time staying in “the apartment.” Whether exploring the fantastic Geauga County parks, taking a day trip to Cleveland, or simply saying hello to the horses, this was an amazing trip from beginning to end. The space is very comfortable and inviting. We enjoyed making our morning coffee in the K-cup French Press and beginning our day curled up with a good book looking out the windows across the neighboring field. Our kids would visit the horses, swing, or jump on the trampoline. We had sufficient cell service but intentionally limited our phone usage to the charge we could get when driving to various area locations. Geauga County far surpassed our expectations. We have a whole list of places we had hoped to visit but didn’t have time to get to. Welton’s Gorge is a short drive away (5 minutes) and is gorgeous. Middlefield is only a few minutes away and has everything you might need - restaurants, grocery stores, etc. Highly recommend Frost’s Bar and Grill and The Pretzel Bar in Middlefield - both were delicious and very reasonably priced. The best part of the trip by far was the generous hospitality and kindness of Regina and Crist. They were so welcoming and kind. They ensured everything went smoothly for us and went above and beyond to ensure we had the best stay we could. We enjoyed our stay so very much and definitely plan to visit again!

Not for Us

We did not stay here. We only had time after our arrival to haul our belongings upstairs before leaving for an appointment. Upon returning after dark we discovered that there is virtually no electricity! There was enough to support two lamps in the large apartment and nothing more. There were no electrical outlets. We booked a motel and hauled our stuff back down the stairs We believe the listing is misleading by indicating “solar energy” and should more clearly describe the very limited power that is available. We feel like at least a partial refund is appropriate since we used none of the facilities.

Family time and back to basics

We had a great stay in the loft, and the price was great as well! This area of Ohio is great for visiting small towns and seeing how others live and of course the fair! They have a generator and A/C, lights and a strip plug for charging devices. Lots of little extras you don’t see in other properties, toiletries, snacks, towels. Will definitely be back!
