The place is coming apart, there was mold in the bathroom, the room furniture was broken, the toasters in the cafeteria were not working, broken curtains, fire damage on the walls, lobby walls were coming off, the carpet was dirty and broken, it was a tripping hazard, there were other guests complaining about their rooms and demanding refunds, I only stayed because it's hard to find accommodations during this busy time.

The building is in shambles, the lobby walls are coming off, there was fire damage on a wall by the electric outlet at the lobby, the carpet was a tripping hazard, it was coming off and dirty, the room had broken furniture, broken curtains, the bathroom had mold, the toasters in the cafeteria were not working, I only stayed because it was going to be hard to find accommodations during that busy time.

The first room we were sent to smelled of smoke. Knowing their posted policy about smoking in the rooms I went back to the lobby to talk about it. The woman at the desk quickly offered a different room which was much better. I was grateful and let her know. It is very much a budget hotel so don’t plan for clean and polished. The room was cleaned every day and fresh towels replaced our used towels. Once again grateful! The breakfast that was in the images on the website were inconsistent. This was very basic and sparse. Four bagels, six slices of bread, and cereal. The hospitality was much less than other LaQuinta’s we have visited.

It took several phone calls to reach the receptionist for the airport shuttle. Once I got to the pickup, it took several more phone calls to reach the receptionist. Then it took more phone calls to ascertain where the late shuttle driver was. The "free breakfast" was a joke, self-serve cereal with no milk.

Close to the main highway and they airport. Did not like the check out process. Was told to put the room key in the basket and I would be emailed a receipt which I never received. I called after my trip to have a receipt emailed to me, which I still never received. Will need to call again.

First impression pulling up to the hotel, the landscaping was unkept and the outside of the building appeared to be pretty rough looking. Walking inside of the building was stinky like mildew and a strong marijuana like odor. The customer service was horrible. Staff seemed like they were unhappy to be at work. When I checked in I made sure to let them know I would need the airport shuttle at 5am to get to MSP for my flight. I was told to be at the front desk 10mins early to check out of room and check in for shuttle. To get to my room I had to exit the back of the building and cross the back parking lot to get to a second building of the hotel, again the grounds in the back were unkept and overgrown (not maintained at all). We got to our room and it hade a very stale and mildew-ish odor. The only thing decent about the room was that the bed was comfortable. When we got to the front desk to check out at 4:50am like we were told there was no one at the front desk so I called out “hello” and the employee came out of the back room and looked very upset that I interrupted a nap as he looked like he just woke up. When he approached I told him I needed to check out and with an attitude he said “all you had to do was throw your room keys In that bucket” and pointed to a small unlabeled bucket on the front counter, as if I was supposed to know that. There was homeless on drugs that tried to take my luggage out of my hand and threatened my wife and I’s lives. We will never stay again!

I expected far better from La Quinta

On the positive side, let me say that the room itself was nice and comfortable. It was clean, quiet, spacious, and had a comfortable bed. The only thing wing in the room was that one of the curtains was falling down, which of course was the first things you see walking in. There is a lot of good shopping and restaurants very near the hotel, and it's close to the airport without being too close, and has excellent highway access. Everything else left a lot to be desired. As a former hotel clerk, and a reasonably frequent guest of La Quinta, I was embarrassed for them. The exterior is sloppy, with knee high weeds and pot holes and untrimmed everything. If I were just driving by looking for a place to stay, I would drive away. The front desk staff were ok, but not especially helpful or clear. It took me nearly 15 minutes of wandering around before I managed to find my room because all he said was back side, not go outside, across the central parking lot and into the other wing. Breakfast was...pitiful. A couple of bagels, apples, and two kinds of cereal. Coffee and milk, but no juice. While I can understand requiring a deposit, $100 that you won't get back for 7-14 business days is ridiculous, and feels like they're just hoping you'll forget and won't notice if your deposit is accidentally not returned. I'll be staying elsewhere in the future.

Dirty and poor service

Arrived 12:40am, no shuttle at airport, called hotel, took 45 min for shuttle to arrive, no breakfast the following morning, guests were making coffee and adding food to the trays. Furniture in lobby was stained and dirty. Did not want to sit while waiting for shuttle back to airport.

Room was OK

The room was very nice at a good price. Breakfast was cold cereal and coffee. We went to a restaurant near by instead. The outside property was un kept. The front door was broken, so it was stuck open to the hot air.

Surly night clerk. Torn wallpaper and falling ceiling in lobby. Filthy, garbage-strewn hallways. Broken window glass in room allowing wind to flap drapes. Threadbare linens and towels. Stains and holes in towels. Free breakfast consists of a loaf of white bread and some stale English muffins with no toppings. Ugh!
