Like most NOLA houses, this is a walk-through (no hallways) but the front and side doors allow separate access to bedrooms if need be.
Short Term Rental is a highly debated subject in New Orleans. Please help us show the community that respectful responsible tourism can bring meaningful cultural exchange and be an overall positive experience for your group and our city.
Our small management company supports 25 workers and their families, all of whom are paid a living wage, and all of us live, work, and play in New Orleans. Our maintenance crew, cleaning crew, booking staff and customer service staff work hard to ensure you have the best stay possible. The proceeds from your stay help us feed our families and invest in the renovation and restoration or historic homes in the area. Our units are 100% owned by locals, not big companies, hotels, or out-of-town investors. All of the homes we restore were either sold vacant, uninhabitable, legally blighted or condemned. We have saved many houses from demolition and we have never evicted long term residents from the houses that we have available for rent.
Beautiful, fun, & funky 200-year-old historic home in the heart of downtown. Soaring ceilings, gorgeous architecture. 4 blocks to the French Quarter, half a mile to frenchmen and the river, super close to fun bars, food, coffee, and public transport.
Please be courteous to my neighbors and respectful of my home. Keep the noise inside the house and the partying in the French Quarter. The quality of life of my neighbors come first above all other things. If you are looking to rage and rockstar out - please look elsewhere. If you are being out of line, myself or my property manager will come discuss your conduct with you and we reserve the right to evict your group if y`all are being out of line. Be a good ambassador of the place you are from and for short term rentals. Do not put my business license in jeopardy and everything will work out great for us both.
The homeowner and assistant will be available if you need us. We will always be around and happy to hang, suggest a destination, or answer any questions. We are thirtysomething, easygoing, and fun yet responsible people. Have as little interaction with us as you like, or hit us up for whatever. We`re happy to oblige.
The Treme is a fantastically bright, safe, beautifully historical neighborhood! Lots of families, lots of community, and gorgeous old homes that you won`t see anywhere else in the world. It`s a true gem. With gorgeous Louis Armstrong Park coming alive on the weekends with concerts and cultural events, you can`t go wrong hanging out in the Treme. Plus, it`s right across the street from the Quarter, where all great touristy destinations lie!
We are a couple blocks walk to 4 different bus lines that will connect you to the streetcar or carry you uptown. 4 blocks to new rampart street car line. Uber and taxis are abundant if you want to cab it.
This listing is 1 private unit of a multi-family building. Inquire about other units if you have larger groups. Other units may occupied in the building, though they have separate entrances and the only shared area is the backyard.
This property is in a residential neighborhood so please respect our neighbors as you would your own!
Extra fees may apply for early checkin and late checkout. Please inquire with us before arrival if those are services that you will require or are interested in.

How close is Ursulines Colorful Historic Home near French Qtr to the airport?
This bed & breakfast is 15.8 mi (23-min drive) away from the Louis Armstrong New Orleans Intl. Airport (MSY) airport, the closest popular airport to the property.
Everyone in New Orleans is nice
The house is a "shotgun" so the living room is first followed by walk thru bedrooms X 2 then the kitchen and baths. My party had no issues with this but if someone is very shy they may take offense. There is a great diner on the corner run by the lovely Fatma, Fabulous coffee.
My only suggestion is to add a hook or two in the smaller bathroom. I would definitely recommend this property
For starters, I'll say that the owners were generally nice and easy to work with (though I never saw them - just texted..), and gave refunds and discounts for my general disappointment with the house. The house was clean, nicely appointed, with neat art, and a nice modern kitchen and decent bathrooms. That's the good stuff. Now...
I should have paid more attention to the square footage (only 1000 sq ft). This house has 4 rooms besides the bathrooms. They are claiming a kitchen, and 3 bedrooms. but.. not really. There is 1 bedroom, and they basically put beds in the dining room and futons in the living room and called them bedrooms. So.. no dining room, no living room. There is a side table in the kitchen, and only 2 decent chairs in the house, so.. lots of fun eating breakfast standing up in the kitchen... :/
The pictures are misleading - be careful. You walk in the front door to a 'bedroom'. Notice that the room with the 'Treme' street sign is shown with both beds and 'futon' couches. They just moved the couches and put sheets on. And be forewarned, they are incredibly uncomfortable futons. Maybe OK for kids.. but.. awful for this small adult.
Lastly - the showers are both 'single knob' style, and they are both plumbed backwards (hot is cold and vice versa). Three college-educated adults each came out complaining that there seemed to be no hot water before we figured out the problem. There was no sign, no note, nothing telling us that this was a problem. Which is especially irritating, because after I asked the owners, they basically said 'oh yeah, we know.' Argh. This is a _fixable_ problem Pay a plumber and fix it. If you aren't going to fix it, at least notify your guests.
Basically.. this rental is a money grab set up for young tourists who want a crash pad, and aren't planning to cook or eat at the house (a shame, 'cause it's a nice kitchen). I think the lack of a dining table is criminal, honestly. Sitting on the couch around a coffee table to eat breakfast or dinner is just.. sad.
Our stay in NOLA with NOLA was exceptional! NOLA was very attentive to our needs and took care of everything we asked. The house was ideally located in the French Quarter and was only a quick Uber ride away to Bourbon Street and Frenchman Street. The house was very spacious witch was ideal for our large group of 8. We would highly recommend this house to any large parties looking to have a good time in NOLA. A ++++ stay HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
