Entire second floor is yours, featuring a master bedroom with a comfortable queen sized bed, private lanai off your bedroom with untouched native forest views, decorated in unique, lava themed, bespoke furniture made by your host using reclaimed wood. Not only that, you have even more space in an additional bedroom that features a sofa that converts to a bed, as well as a mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker. The suite also boasts its own beautifully marble tiled private custom bath, adjacent to your master bedroom with a sizable walk-in shower, multiple shower heads and floating glass sink over marble vanity. Also included in the guest suite are a work desk and chair, plus two closets.

Your suite is equipped with bedding, linens, pillows, towels, coffee and tea as well as free high-speed fioptics 1000 Mbps download and 600 Mbps upload, wi-fi throughout plus a portable booster that can be plugged in anywhere on the property. A whole house UV filter system provides safe, drinkable water throughout the home.

The entire upper floor is yours, but that's not all. Also included, new washer and dryer in the covered outdoor seating area available to you at no additional charge, Also in the covered area, an outdoor table, patio furniture and surrounding garden make for a nice dining experience.

This home is owned and hosted by a Premier Host. The host takes great pride in providing a peaceful, clean, comfortable and private stay. You will see many positive comments about the host in the reviews. Hosted means the owner lives in the home. The owner's private spaces are on the lower floor in the back of the house. It is the owner's top priority to respect your privacy. This is the real Hawaii, a home, not a hotel.

Only five minutes away is unique and funky Pahoa town, where you'll find the convenience of many varied restaurants, food trucks, one-of-a-kind shops, grocery stores including a large local grocery store and a natural food market, banks, ATM's, and a CVS drug store. Sunday's Makuu Farmer's Market, with it's many varied booths, is 19 minutes away. A nature filled drive to Hawaii Volcanoes National Park is 40 minutes. Just 15 minutes to the ocean and many other incredible sights. Hilo town, the county seat and Hilo airport are just 35 minutes away.

The outdoors is invited into the interior with fresh floral bouquets throughout. Views of the forest add to the relaxing atmosphere, seen from the many windows and private lanai in the guest suite, creating an indoor treehouse effect.

The Lava Forest Retreat maintained its presence and indeed flourished following the lava eruption of 2018 in Leilani Estates subdivision where this home is located. In dramatic fashion, Pele the Fire Goddess and her lava eruption have left behind a spectacular landscape of some of the world's newest Earth, most majestic rain forests and other worldly views.

Pahoa town, with it's funky charm, is only 5 minutes away, with many unique shops and restaurants. Kehena Black Sand Beach is 18 minutes away, with a view of serene, swimmable coastal tide pools along the route. Be sure to visit Pohoiki Beach, a short drive through a dramatic coastal landscape of forest and lava to a black sand beach that is a favorite of local surfers. Hawaii Volcanoes National Park is a must see, about a 40 minute drive. Take a day trip to Kona on the other side or just a walk around the block, you will find the Big Island's beauty everywhere.
