Spacious 4 bedroom 3 bathroom house in Movie Colony. One mile distance to downtown Palm Springs and all the attractions along with palm canyon strip. Two Master Suits, furnished with 1 KING and 1 Queen beds along with 65 inch tv and large bathrooms. One bathroom is equipped with hot tub and two vanities for him and her. All the rest of the baths include stand up shower. The home has an Extra Large Kitchen with Brand new refrigerator, microwave and stove. Extra drawers and pantry storage spaces all around the kitchen. Laundry room has a brand new washer.The two other bedrooms are furnished with two twin beds each. Large closets are located in each room. The living room has a sofa, loveseat and armchair, along with a 65 inch tv, large space for family gathering. The home is ideal for family vacation with kids and has an outstanding outdoor space with large pool, brand new 8 person hot tub that has amazing views of the palm spring mountains, brand new large grill that can accommodate full family, patio furniture, pool lounge chairs, and swinging sofa.

The good:Good location. Good living space. Good water pressure. Nice kitchen. Well stocked.Not so good:The host didn’t use the VRBO app to communicate. There was no house manual to tell us how everything works. I had to call or text host for every question (and it took him a while to respond) or I Googled what I needed. Had to ask several times for check out instructions. The thermostat was either blowing cold air or hot air, hard to find anything in between. The hot tub didn’t ever heat up. The garage remote didn’t work. In the sink in the hallway bathroom, the faucets seem to be installed incorrectly so it hard to turn them off. The shower door in the main bathroom is difficult to get closed from the inside.

Nice property, great location, some amenitiees don't work

First and foremost, the property is great and in a great location. There is some noise from the nearby airport but nothing crazy. The host is very responsive and the house is stocked with everything you would need. Towels, Blankets, cookware, etc. Pool is heated which was very nice for our winter time visit. But, some amenities were non-functional and based on past reviews it seems to be an ongoing issue or they have never worked. Specifically I am referring to the hot tub and microwave. The owner communicated he had someone out to fix the microwave recently but it did not work while we were there. When we arrived the hot tub was not working. The owner called us after we went out for the day to say someone was there to fix it, I can't confirm if anybody actual did come or not. When we returned, it was still not working and there was no other attempt to fix it the rest of the long weekend. Again, great property with plenty of room and well kept, no other complaints and the property was otherwise as advertised.

christmas get away

as you will find i had to contact VRBO numerous times- to get into the house- hot tub did not work- microwave did not work- one bathroom facet did not work- the dishwasher did not drain and there were exposed floor tacks where the carpet had separated that we covered with a bath mat. I currently have a request for a refund of at least 500 that a vrbo group is reviewing and hope that it is granted. very disappointed to say the least

Great Affordable Home

Great home with all the basic amenities for a comfortable vacation. The pool is a really nice, comfortable, hang out spot. Plenty of beds for our party of 8 singles. Access to a garage was really nice to keep the cars cool in the hot sun. Just a few minor things to note: * there is no sofa bed in the master, but you can easily have someone sleep on the living room sofa. * bring your soap and shampoo * hot tub was not working * coffee maker not working, but you can easily just use the filter to do pour over since he provides some very nice electric kettles * sprinklers come on at 8am and 4pm Sokrat was great to respond to a little garbage disposal issue and sent out a handyman asap. Like someone else said, hes great with communication via text just dont bother with the app. Overall great place to stay with great location thats close to everything.

Relaxing stag in Palm Springs

Our stay at the house was very relaxing! The property is clean and spacious. My friends and I really enjoyed this spot. Sokrat is great to communicate by text and call, but not the vrbo website. This is my second time staying, and I wanted to point out that we couldn’t get the sofa bed in the master bedroom to work. I didn’t reach out because it wasn’t needed with the amount of people we had, but I’m convinced it’s just a regular couch and not a sofa bed. Otherwise, the stay was great! Love this place and will be coming back.

Spacious modern kitchen, but lacks basic equipment and utensils. Lots of beds except master doesn’t have sofa bed as stated. Pool steps needs handrails but pool is large and maintained well. This is our second time and would return again.

Over rated

Outside property was in need of maintance. Flower beds needed new rock, and discarded lounge chair left in flowerbeds. Outside light were so bright they shined in master bedroom even through closed drapes. Master bed has urine stains near head board on mattress, master information as to when pool guy or landscaper are to arrive, they just walk in bed room has glass table in middle of room which is very hard to see at night when trying to use the bathroom. Master bedroom carpet and hallway carpet has multiple stains and needs to be replaced. No notice to when pool cleaner or yard maintance people are to come, they just walk in through unlocked gate to front and back yards. No instructions on when garbage people come, or any instructions on how to operate tv cable box, Spectrum. Livening room t v would not hook up to Spectrum cable source. We are very disappointed in this highly rated Vrbo, our worst Vrbo experience ever. Note the location to the airport and street are very noisy. So loud that when aircraft land and take off you cannot hear each other speak when sitting next to each other at the pool.

Ran into several issues

We were hoping to use the hot tub but it was dirty. The primary bathroom shower door would not close all the way. There was a nail/something sharp sticking up on threshold leading into hallway. Pool inflatables were dirty. No user manual on how the fans, TVs, lights, AC work. I contacted host on the first night about these things but never heard back until 2 hours before check out.

Location, Location, Location

We are a group of six friends who vacation together annually. This year we chose Palm Springs for our five night trip. This property was perfect for our relatively large group, with enough beds for everyone and enough bathrooms to comfortably share. The pool and hot tub were wonderful! The layout of the house was conducive for a large group. The kitchen was not well equipped. For example, we had to purchase a kitchen spatula/pancake turner and extra toilet paper and paper towels, all things that I am used to being provided by the host. While there were miscellaneous pumps to inflate pool toys (of which there was one), none of them worked so we bought a small one for our use. What makes this property a five star is the location! Approximately a mile to downtown Palm Springs, five minutes to the airport and close to everything. We enjoyed our stay and would rent this property again.

Little things could use some attention. Light bulbs in a few places need replacing,. Toilet paper holder repaired; plugs in master bath don't work. Bed linnens and towels are old. No instructions on how to use TVs. Perhaps a binder of info will help. Owner's worker came by on Palm Sunday and it was great. Front door stopped working and he was there within an hour. Overall a good place to stay with lots of beds.

Girls weekend

This house was perfect for a weekend with friends. We are a group of women who have been friends for 50 years. Lots of room, comfy beds and furniture , good location, the pool was lovely and warm. Only a couple of glitches- not enough towels, and also the sprinklers came on at 4PM while we were lounging on the lawn(!), kind of a rude awakening! Pretty sure that’s just an AM/PM error, and I contacted the landlord who was readily available but unable to fix it during our stay. All in all this house fitted our needs well.

Everything we needed!

This house had it all for our annual guys trip. Six beds was a bonus as there was plenty of room for everyone. The kitchen was well-supplied for our many meals. The pool was constantly heated to a perfect temperature making it accessible any time of day. The location provides quick access to grocery stores, coffee shops and other services. It also makes for a fun walk downtown or around the neighborhood to look at the historic homes. Great value for a great time!

Family Reunion with Siblings 2023

Nice house, great back yard and everyone enjoyed the heated pool. Didn’t try the hot tub. Only complaint is about the cleaning crew. Potato chip bag in one bathroom and Kleenex tissue under one bed. Also, dishes were dirty.

Great house, disappointing host

This home is beautiful and looks as advertised. However, they day we checked in the host told us the hot tub spa was not working and that he was sending out a repairman the same day. When the repairman didn't show up, my husband called him the next day and the owner suggested we simply didn't know how to turn it on and denied having said it was broken. After many phone calls and another repairman coming out, it appeared it could not be repaired during our stay. This was disappointing since the hot tub was much looked forward to. The owner did provide a partial refund. As well, the house sleeps 8 but there were only 2 dinner forks and 3 cake forks. There were not enough towels for pool and showers and there were bugs coming up one of the bathroom sinks. We had to use bedside chairs, as there weren't many night tables. We attempted to barbecue and one tank was fully empty and other only a quarter full. It was a rush to run to get the tank filled at our own cost. We've stayed in many VRBO homes in PS and while the house was lovely, it was the first time we have encountered this type of owner.

Worth it!

This is my second time at this wonderful property, during the same month of the year. I was there may 2021, and I am back May 2022 as I celebrate my youngest birthday here around the pool. The house is spacious, well equipped, heated pool, air conditioner, jacuzzi.. 4 bedrooms, three baths... I mean do I need to say more! Location is close to EVERYTHING.. literary..Albertsons, Staterooms, Walgreens, down town.. amazing. The only thing you need to know about the movie colony, where the house is located is that it is a quiet neighborhood and many people there are permanent residents..so be respectful after dark, and don't have loud outside music... I have a 8 a d 10 years old with occasional shouting and jumping in thr water, and we still fine... but overall you will have great time. The host is very responsive, friendly and will communicate in timely manner.
