We stayed at Villa del Palmar for 5 days. As soon as we arrived we were sat down and told that this entire resort was going to be demolished and that part of it was under construction because it’s old and they want to make a better one. Then they tried to sell us a tour at their new hotel offering all these “perks” and tried to sell a timeshare. The food was not bad just mediocre.. had a couple good meals but it got old quite quickly and only one restaurant was open at a time or the buffet. No reservations or wait time while we were here. The waiters at the restaurant were all very nice and friendly. The pool is nice but filled with mostly children and there in no pool bar. The beach is also nice but filled with people trying to sell you things. One thing that bothered us as we purchased all inclusive is that you have to wait to sign the checks every time you eat and you cannot take the food with you by the pool. You have to wait for the waiters to help you by the pool and it takes 30 minutes for them to bring your drink. The creperie is nice as well but it takes you 30 minutes to get anything as well. Location was near downtown and easy to get to with taxi. The room was also clean and we had no complaints. Overall, I think there are better resorts for the price and places that don’t try to upsell or scam you!!

The property itself was clean. However the room though it was nice it did need renovation. New paint. The water from shower would come out due to the way the shower glass was.

The staff is rude especially the front desk the place is moldy smelling our room flooded and they wouldn’t change our rooms due to being full so o asked for compensation for the 3 days of flooding they wouldn’t do that I would never recommend this place

Under staffed you can tell they are closing for renovation which they should just close i have traveled plenty very slow they will chase down the beach to make sure you sign your ticket but if you wait for them to bring it good luck they are all about up selling there flamingo resort seems like thats all they care about rooms had mold in the lamps and and in bathroom they just painted over you can see it the two girls in the morning where the coffee shop are rude and just giggle to them self the whole time at check out my wife was inline while i was checking us out so since i checked out they wanted to charge for the coffee literally as i was checking out restaurants move all over ever night so good luck finding what your looking for. A minth before i got there i asked about checking in early since we landed at 9 am got to the resort about 10 am i talked to them they said i would be proiortiy and get in by 1 or 2 we watched the room from the lobby the whole time and no one went in it we didnt get our room untill 3 i asked for ocean view the guy at the desk we dont have one i wasnt askjng for it to be free either i always pay for upgrades the photographer lady always had a smile made our stay there better also antonio in the sea food restaurant and the coffee lady in the afternoon were the best people if you want food from 12 to 6 its all the pool only and good luck getting it waiting an hour and half for pizza that i was told 20 min on two guys do the whole pool area.

The staff was AMAZING I travel with a small service dog and felt very uncomfortable. The omelets in the morning were wonderful and off the menu food was delicious.

1 option for breakfast & lunch - same food everyday only 2 options for dinner with limited seating and it takes about 90mins from sitting down to getting your food in your table, don't be surprise if the food of your neighbor comes before yours even you came to the restaurant 30mins before them.

They had to close all the restaurants one night due to the weather conditions as all the restaurants are outside. We were advised to book room service. We had 3 children with us and had already waited over 1 hour before being told they were shutting the kitchen. When we got back to our room to order room service we were told we would have to wait a minimum of 2 hours. This was not acceptable. We therefore had to order McDonalds using Uber Eats and given we were all inclusive we had to send over $70 to get our food including a delivery charge.

Very friendly staff, comfortable accommodations and gorgeous oceanfront property. The food was good, my kids especially loved the creperie/cafe! It is an older resort but the staff take care with making your stay pleasant.

The restaurants on site were great!! The room service food was okay, nothing to write home about. All the staff I encountered on resort was friendly. Despite the hotel going under renovations, most of the amenities were available and it did not dampen my stay at the resort. The massage at the spa was lovely! My only complaint would be that despite having a full service spa, they could not repair a broken nail. They didn't have nail glue and did not have a nail grinder to remove acrylic nails, I thought that was odd as they are a full service spa. Other than that, I would highly recommend a stay at this resort.
