Clean room, housekeeping staff were amazing. Enjoyed the stay and loved Puerto Vallarta. The beach options were nice, never had a problem getting an umbrella or seat. The pool was nice and quiet.

After paying over for 4 nights in the Penthouse Paradise, I experienced unacceptable service failures at Blue Chairs Beachfront Resort during New Year's 2025-2026. Pre-Arrival: Despite booking a month in advance, the hotel refused any refund or credit when I tried to cancel the next day for financial reasons. Even with Expedia's help, they wouldn't budge. This rigid policy forced me to rearrange finances and proceed. Major Issues: Dec 31 (NYE): Complete water outage 9AM-7PM. Staff lied about "citywide water issues" - I showered at a beach club two buildings away that had water Dec 31: Electricity failed at noon, forcing us to climb stairs to the 9th floor repeatedly Jan 1: Another water outage for several hours One bathroom had no hot water on arrival Worst Part - Zero Hospitality: During 10+ hours without water/electricity on NYE, management provided: No water bottles No meal/drink credits No room credit Staff told us to "buy our own water" No acknowledgment of ruined holiday Bottom Line: Infrastructure can fail, but the combination of multiple outages during peak holiday, dishonesty about causes, and complete absence of guest service recovery is inexcusable at this price point. The inflexible cancellation policy that trapped us into this experience makes it worse.

The room was clean and had a spectacular view. It was definitely dated and could use some upgrades but all in all very comfortable. The staff was friendly and the location was great. The main downfall was that the music from the bar/beach/hotel next door was very loud. Also, beach chairs were included but you could not sit close to the water unless you were a big spender and they reserved the first three rows for "VIPs". That was very annoying so we ended up renting chairs from the vendors next to our resort.

Had a good stay. No frills hotel but was comfortable and glad they provided shampoo and body wash. Aldo at the front desk was very helpful although the rest of the staff wasn’t as friendly as him. I love that they are so close to the beach. The blue chairs umbrellas beach wait staff was nice and friendly and the drinks (mojitos, pina coladas, blended margaritas) were all well-made and tasty, but you need to make a reservation the day before if you want seats closer to the water. I scheduled a professional massage with Lucas who did a great job and has awesome technique and well worth the cost. I’ve stayed here before and would stay again for its location and cost. Glad they are mostly LGBTQ+ but I did see a lot of other couples as well.

The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful and the location was close to all the great stuff the romance zone offers. The beach was lovely and the beach staff were amazing!
