The staff is super friendly and the rooms are spacious and clean. The outside of the property coud use a facelift, however, you are not staying outside. This is probably my 5th time staying at blue chairs and I will definitely stay again. They have adult shows every night on the rooftop patio so you don't have to in town for a drink and a show. The ocean views are to die for!!! For the price and those views its totally worth it!

I was extremely dissatisfied the day of our arrival and was prepared to give this property a terrible rating. After waiting several hours and changing rooms three times, we were finally given a room that was acceptable and had working air conditioning. The facility itself is in terrible shape and in bad need of upgrade. What changed my mind and made me rate this property as okay is the staff. Most of the employees are exceptional and go out of their way to provide an exceptional experience for their guests, in particular the beach, bar and restaurant staff. The housekeepers also do a good job keeping the rooms clean and stocked but again, the facility itself is rundown and in bad shape. Air conditioning doesn’t work properly, plumbing barely works, there were things broken in the room, and there were times I was not certain the elevator was going to make it safely. In conclusion, I was very disappointed in this property but we still had a good time purely because of the employees. We made the best of it but I probably would not book at this hotel again. It’s unfortunate because the location is desirable in the Zona Romantica and very close to the beach and the place has so much potential.

Unlikely what some friends staying next door thought, the rooms and roof top were clean, remodeled and well maintained. The food at the restaurant was fresh and tasty. Cannot get better for the money! Beach front, great views, awesome music at roof top bar, and great performances.

This is a very run down old hotel, everything is old and broken. The only saving grace is the location which is right on the beach. Even the outside of the building is in very bad need of a coat of paint. We stayed in a penthouse suite, its very large 2 bedrooms 2 bathrooms but hot water takes almost 20 mins to start, 1 TV was broken, and the coffee maker from the 60's has no filters or coffee. The staff are busy, 86 rooms 1 girl on the reception, she is beyond caring, the event desk is never staffed, we were 5 days and no one ever appeared, our room was only cleaned twice and once after it was severely flooded during a storm, but the storm was at night and the room wasn't cleaned until 14,00 after I asked 3 times. The restaurant is really a snack bar limited choice and very basic, and there is only 1, they don't even have an espresso machine so can't offer a decent coffee, I had to go to the hotel next door for that. But, it's cheap and that is probably why it's so run down and poorly staffed. If you don't care about service and want a cheap place to stay this is for you, however if you want somewhere clean, friendly and well run, don't go here.
