The guy at the counter soon checking in Joseph was his name. He took calls on the phone while 3-4 people stood in line to check in. I waited 20 minutes. And his English wasn’t great. Also the coffee pot didn’t work in our room and the pillows were not very comfortable. I will not be staying at this hotel again.

I was greeted by Joseph who was fast and efficient in checking me in. He took the time to tell me all the amenities in the hotel. My room was at the end of the hall which was a bit of a walk but I guess someone had to be put in that room. Other than that, it is a great hotel.

I paid for a king suite and they gave me a queen suite. First room and night we had a room with no towels or soap upon checkin. The mattress felt like sleeping on plywood. After moving all weekend U wanted to relax but we had to move rooms. I have a central line to my heart to eat with and am very unwell. I chose the sandman knowing the quality experiences I have had in the past but the Red Deer Sandman was NOT clean. A door handle fell off and nailed my jack Russel in the head. There was so much hard water buildup on the tap area went everywhere when you turned it on. The bathroom was not clean properly, there was hair and debris behind the toilet. The overflow for the bathtub was completely missing. Just as we were going to bed night 2 the toilet started leaking. The bathroom door if closed could not be open from the kitchenette side and there was drywall dirt all around the edges of the card. There was a thin boarder of dirt all around the edges of the tiled areas. Our socks were black from walking in the room with no shoes on. I got charged twice for the first night and way to much for the remaining 4. I am exhausted and headed for surgery during this stay and have had very little sleep due to the anxiety this all has caused. I would have given 1 star but the 1 daytime front desk agent was very nice.

Hotel was under renovation and this wasn't communicated to us in advance - the picture of the room on the listing was nice and they rest were poor and in disrepair. The tub in our room had brown dirt on it, there was no working microwave or fridge. The room overall wasn't the cleanest. We notified the hotel of this, they said someone would come up to the room to clear the tub (no one did).

Yes the room was spotless, wonderfully decorated, the front staff was attentive and kind. Joseph when we checked in was especially nice and I can’t exactly remember the gentleman's name who checked us out but he was as well very pleasant!
