I took my 82-year-old aunt for a dream week and our stay was so memorable. Dasha's communication was so helpful. Like all foreign travel - especially with a "super senior" - there's always going to be special needs and ALL were addressed. A very lovely spacious apartment, located 10 minutes from the Colosseum and 2 great restaurants next door to eat at. The host was wonderful and very polite. There are a lot of steps to be aware of but still the perfect spot to enjoy your Italian getaway!

We loved our stay in this most amazing apartment. Such a cute little corner of Rome with fabulous restaurants at our doorstep. Most of Romes attractions were within walking distance. My wife and I travelled to Rome for the first time and was blown away by Ilaria’s hospitality. She met us upon arrival and gave us a great overview of the property and Rome. Excellent from start to finish

Our host was wonderful from check in through departure. The apartment is beautiful and well appointed. We’ve stayed in a variety of neighborhoods in Rome and loved the location. There are close options for grocery. The piazza is very quiet and had 2 options for drinks and food while were were there. I can’t provide any negatives for our stay. I would highly recommend.

Multiple issues. First, they promised two BEDrooms, but one of the rooms was super small (see image for reference). Second, there was a hot water issue. Most of the time, the hot water was not working, and it took a few hours to make it work. Third, some of the photos provided do not match the actual place. The photos are outdated. Finally, I found bed bug. See attached image. All towels weren’t properly clean.P.S. asking VRBO for half refund.

Great location and apartment!

You can't get a much better location than Piazza Margana. We've stayed in a lot of areas in Rome, and this was one of our favorites. It's close to lots of attractions and public transportation, but it's a quiet area at night, which was appreciated. The apartment is as nice as the pictures! And Ilaria (the host) was very helpful and responsive. The stairs were not an issue for us, but it is something to keep in mind as there is no elevator (mentioned in the description). This place made us feel we were part of the neighborhood and not just tourists - we'd definitely come back here!

Fantastic

This apartment was so wonderful that we could have happily stayed for the rest of our lives. The furnishings were comfortable, elegant, welcoming and ideal for lounging around after a full day of walking. The kitchen had everything anyone would want for cooking dinner. The location is perfect for all the sights as well as for ice cream and markets. Our hostess Ilaria was the best ever — she was waiting for us when we arrived and answered questions right away. Recommend this apartment for anyone looking fora perfect roost in Rome.

a secret gem in the heart of Rome!

We opened the door to the apartment and automatically fell in love! Old world charm, modern amenities, spacious, and perfect in every way! Ilaria, our hostess was amazing, warm and right there if we needed anything. The living room was so comfortable ( we were 3 people) , the master bedroom was quite large with a ton of space and a cute little balcony for our morning coffee, which overlooks a quaint and quiet courtyard. The 2nd bedroom was perfect for our niece. The galley kitchen had everything at our fingertips. We didn't need any public transportation since we were very centrally located- we walked EVERYWHERE! I would recommend this gem 100%!

Outstanding Experience

The apartment is located in an incredible location. Walking distance to all the major sites. The kitchen is great and offers many conveniences. Washer/dryer combination is a big plus. The mattress is extremely comfortable. The 15’ ceilings are a highlight of the apartment and provide a more spacious atmosphere. The steps to the apartment are a bit steep but we are both in our 70s and they posed no problem. We highly recommend renting if staying in Rome. You could not ask for a better condo owner. Ilaria was beyond helpful and was a wonderful hostess. We have become friends and will continue a friendship.

Terrific location but only one bed is really usable

Terrific location and very clean (though one major cleaning would be a plus - behind/under cushions, empty out old products like the sugar etc.) and comfortable except for the single bed - the mattress is not usable. It sags too much to sleep on it. Communication is difficult not with the specific person who represents the lessor company, but with the lessor themselves (Wonder Where to Stay). Kitchen is large and well-functioning. Also, the balcony is too small to use, with HVAC units to the left. It is good place to stay - just need to describe a few things that may be challenging for some.

A great location for exploring Rome

The apartment is convenient for all conceivable sites to explore. The unit is rustic and charming in it own way including 2 bathrooms. If there is an issue with the apartment is the picture featuring the balcony is not accurate. The a/c units are located on the balcony seriously constricting the available area for sitting. The second issue we noted was the usage of the courtyard by a neighbourhood restaurant. The staff dumped their garabage nightly after the restaurant closed in the wee hours of the night. The courtyard also serves as an area for parties catered by the restaurant into the wee hours. Enjoyed of stay and appreciate the professionalism and efficient of the staff.

Superb accommodation in the historic heart of Rome

As other reviewers have said, the location and the apartment itself are stunning. Tucked into a piazza of its own with two restaurants just steps away, yet 100 meters from major sites and transportation hubs, the apartment in this 16th century building is charming, well-kept and clean. Ilaria was wonderful to work with in every way: responsive and helpful, and genuinely interested in helping us enjoy our stay. Potential renters should understand that the kitchen is, as the owner's description and one reviewer make clear, very small indeed. It would be difficult for more than one person to work in it. Yet it is (as the reviewer indicated) well-equipped, clean and entirely functional. Renters should also understand that the owner's mention of the "second floor" may need a bit of elaboration for some American visitors: As in most European countries, what an American would call the "first floor" is considered the "ground floor," above which are the first and second floors; in other words, the apartment is on the third floor, accessed by way of two substantial staircases. One final thing: The single bedroom (which I used) has an extremely comfortable sofa bed -- but it is (like the kitchen) very small, in fact little more than a slight expansion of the hallway that leads to it. That said, it is quiet and cool, and I slept very well every night. I mention these things not as criticisms but as elaborations of Ilaria's description. The apartment is a wonderful, and I recommend it enthusiastically.
