VRRY DISAPPOINTED THIS VISIT

The check-in person had no idea how to handle a pre-paid hotels.com reservation & it took calls and at least 1/2 hour to correct! It was easily the worst EVER. Free breakfast was terrible. Beds were fine! The room was about 85 degrees and had an odor when we arrived. Light in the bathroom didn’t work and room phone would not call out anywhere, expecting the front desk! I reported it and they did nothing about it. I’ve stayed here in the past 6 months more than a few times and it was better than this!

On the first day there was hair behind the toilet seat, in the bathroom sink and on some of the towels. On the second day, there was hair in the bathroom tub. Very nice breakfast and breakfast area. Located in the lobby was a water dispenser with freshly cut lemons. Definitely a plus.

The staff are very welcoming and polite. The elevator door on one of the two elevators did not always open or shut properly. The rooms have a bit of a musty odour, likely because the bathroom venting is non existent. However, the hotel has done a wonderful job with their renovation. The place is starting to look better kept and brighter.

When we went to check in and out the staff at the front desk were not very friendly. Beds were advertised as queen beds and they were only full size. Breakfast before check out was great! When we arrived on the 3rd floor where our room was all you smelled was marijuana even though it stated that this facility was smoke free. When the front desk staff was notified of this he didnt even acknowledge us. We traveled from 4 1/2 hours away and was disappointed in this property although on expedia it had a high rating.

FYI, pool is only open 2pm-10pm, so if arrived later and leaving at check out no time to use pool, not a plus for families traveling and look for pools to have kids get energy out. Secondly my son was showering and yelled mom, the water out of the shower was black/brown and there was gross stuff coming up and out of the tub drain, it smelled like sewage. I told front desk staff right away and was told they will get someone to take a look at it and it could not be the water system they use as they check the water and it was clear. Food at breakfast was not refilled and more of a hassle when asked staff, more worried about being on their phone call.
