My stay at Inn on the Hudson was extremely distressing and unprofessional. I was traveling with my two young children (ages 4 and 2) and had a confirmed reservation through a third-party booking site. Upon arrival, the staff initially refused to honor the reservation and made check-in unnecessarily difficult.
During our extended stay, I was unexpectedly called and told to check out immediately, despite being informed previously that my stay extended to the following day. When I questioned this, the staff threatened to call the police—and then did so—while I was still legally occupying the room and staying with my children.
The situation was handled with no empathy, no clear communication, and no regard for the safety or well-being of a family with young children. The experience was humiliating, stressful, and completely avoidable with basic professionalism.
I would not recommend this property, especially to families or anyone expecting respectful treatment and clear communication.
