Pine Grove Cottage - Visit Monticello, Charlottesville & Many Local Wineries
The Pine Grove Cottage is surrounded by woods in its rural location, but is just 3 miles from the Zion Crossroads Interstate 64 exit and all the retail and restaurants at that interchange. It is 22 minutes from Monticello, and there are over a dozen wineries within a 30 minute drive.
The cottage was thoroughly renovated and luxuriously furnished in mid-2020. If it looks professionally decorated, that's because it is. Everything is brand-spanking new, and beautiful.
The cottage can accommodate seven people if you include the sleeper sofa in the living room. The mattresses in the bedrooms are all Temperpaedic type mattresses, very comfortable.
You will love the patio with its gas grill and fire pit. Also, there is a 1/2 mile trail beside Oliver Creek - great for walking the dog or the kids.
Nice place, good location away from the busy Câville. But close enough for a short drive to UVA, lots of wineries and Monticello. Beds are very comfortable, and plenty of pillows. TV has plenty of channels. Kitchen well stocked and nice layout. Nice outdoor fire pit with wood provided. Private neighborhood.
Good parking, excellent wifi, yard great for pups or families. Close to Cville and Zion Crossroads and Pleasant Grove Park for great long walks. AC is in room, worked well, but loud. Washer dryer great! Front door did not lock. Mattresses were hard on our senior frames.
We passed through the Charlottesville area and stayed for one night. The house was comfortable for my family of 5 for a short stay. If it had been for longer, it would have probably been a little cramped. Also, it wasnât a deal breaker for us, but I didnât realize- the house does not have central air, just window units. They cool adequately and make it comfortable. Just an fyi for people who may have small children who may have their sleep disrupted by a louder window unit Clicking off and on. The hosts responded quickly to our questions and concerns.
We had a great time staying at Pine Grove Cottage and Keith was a fantastic host! He was extremely accommodating and very responsive through the app. The house was perfect and had everything we needed, including croquet for the kids and plenty of firewood for the fire pit. We did some antique shopping and walked the trail down to the creek. Definitely worth the visit and would love to stay again.
It worked out perfect for us. Itâs secluded enough that if my dog barked, he did not disturb anybody. Thereâs a hiking path right next to the side so I could take my dogs for a nice long walk. Even though it was secluded, it was close enough to any place around. Shopping was only nine minutes away. Downtown Charlottesville was just a very short ride.
My daughters and I enjoyed our stay. We were visiting on a cold and rainy weekend so we didnât get to enjoy the property. It had a short trail thru the woods and a large yard.
Rented this cottage to stay close to Charlottesville for a concert at John Paul Jones Arena. Saved us a ton on 3 hotel rooms, a long trip home and was comfy, clean and quiet. Would definitely stay here again in the future.
We were very happy with our time here. Easy check in and everything was clean. Very comfortable beds and nice toys for children were provided. Thank you!
I stayed at this VRBO because of the proximity to my son who I was visiting. It was easy to get to, clean, quiet, comfortable, and I felt safe. It suited my needs perfectly. And it was close to multiple restaurant options in Zion Crossing. I would stay here again on future trips.
