Renovations were being completed on the floor below us and the heat and shower were broken upon arrival in our room (don’t realize this until the following morning as we arrived late the night prior). The staff was very accommodating and helpful with these issues, but what a pain to sleep in a freezing room hoping the heat would eventually kick in and then horrible to wake up to no ability to take a shower.

The first room we checked into we extremely hot and we were unable to cool it down using the controls. The tv would not work so we had to call the desk to have someone fix it. Around 9 pm my daughter went to take a shower and the water was very hot. I let it run for awhile and put it on cold and it never changed temperature. It was so hot it would have burned your skin. I called the front desk and they moved us to a different room which was not convenient. The second room was cooler but there were multiple bugs in the room. A ladybug on the ceiling, a moth and ants in the bathroom. Overall the hotel felt outdated and not very clean, especially with bugs in the rooms.

The room was clean. My only complaint is that the refrigerator was froze everything i placed in there on my first day. But overall the room was clean and spacious, and the shower (temp, water pressure) was great. The fitness room was nice, too Also, the front desk employees that I interacted with were all pleasant, even when I was coming in super late at night/early in the morning. I'd definitely stay here again the next time I come to Richmond.
