Very clean inside and out. Staff were really friendly and helpful. I was also able to add a late check out on last minute with no issues. The bed was so comfy and the bathroom was great.10 min walk to the center which is great because you walk miles everyday. I will be back again 100%

1. Arrived at hotel, 9 steps from street to hotel, 2 heavy cases, 2 member's of staff at the bottom of the steps, 1 smoking, 1 on his phone. Neither helped I had to get the cases in myself (74 years old). Sink in bathroom leaked all over the floor, reported on evening to reception, reported again the following morning bu evening still not fixed, finally duty manager came to fix. Appalling service for what claims to be a 5 star hotel. Didn't even offer a drink.

Not happy!

Requested a room with a shower, but when we arrived late in the evening we were given a room with a bath. Went back to reception to ask for a move but were told no one with authority was in the building to action this. The following morning we agreed to pay extra for a room upgrade and were assured this room would get priority that morning to ensure a swift transition, we left about 10am and returned at 2pm to be informed our room was not yet available, we then had to wait around for a solution, which was an inferior room to our original booking with be refund offered. To add insult to injury when we returned to our room the following day our bathroom had been cleaned but all the dirty towels had been left in a pile in our sleeping area. Stayed here on other occasions but will need some persuading for me to return.

The hotel itself and staff is great. They are very helpful and professional. The hotel is old but classy and clean. If you are going to use the public transport then this is the right hotel coz this is very close to the Central station. We tried the breakfast buffet and it’s good as well. One thing i noticed is that the surrounding area is very dirty, there’s trash scattered everywhere comparable to some streets in NY.

An ok 3 star property lacking the basics of kind hospitality, cleanliness or comfort. From the dirty hallways, curt staff (bellboys were nice though) dirty and broken gym, 9:00 am mini bar knock etc. Dirt hallways, musty smell, dark rooms, horrible housekeeping staff etc etc etc. Property should not be listed as 5 star!!!

I would’ve given it 2 1/2 stars instead of three, but it wasn’t an option I also would never written her review, but the manager told me to go ahead. She didn’t care so here we go. The first sight I was there in my room was 80°. I complained about it. They said they would send someone up the next day. I asked them about it again. They said they would send someone up. I got back to my room. It was 78° and then they told me they didn’t have air conditioning even though there’s some type of climate control on the wall truly unbearable. The elevators in this place are at least 60 or 70 years old. You have to close the door if anyone leaves the door open it doesn’t work and you’re waiting around. I couldn’t find the staircase on my floor. It stopped at floor three. Some people might see this as old world charm. I just call it old. It’s convenient to the station maybe if you’re staying one night but anything other than that I would highly recommend looking elsewhere. I’m a Marriott titanium member with almost 4000 nights used to hotels and issues but this one’s just a little too much to deal with I could go on and on, but I’m getting on my plane and getting out of here

Such a cool, old building with great amenities. Could view a canal from the room. Hugh ceilings, beautiful property. Loved it, and enjoyed our stay in a pet of the city with tons to do.
