The hotel was aesthetically pleasant, decorated tastefully with hints of sports themed memorabilia and or UOM decor. We upgraded to a “city view” room, yet, had a view of the rear of the hotel which looked out over the parking area and neighborhood homes, which was a bit of a disappointment. Our room was small but accommodating. Amenities were minimal as there isn’t a spa or pool and dining was limited to one small restaurant and cafe. We dinned at the restaurant for breakfast. Our food was great! My husband had the chicken and waffles and said it was some of the best best he’s had. What was disappointing is that we added the breakfast for 2 when we booked online yet, were told at the front desk that we’d only be given a credit for $20 that can be applied towards our meals. We paid $27 to add the breakfast online yet, weren’t even offered the equivalent in credits! Lexi is the concierge and was less than accommodating when handling our concerns and was quick to pass the buck by saying “this is the credit we offer when you don’t book direct”. Words from the wise; when booking your stay, DO NOT add breakfast option. There isn’t any value in it and you will end up leaving money on the table. Outside of the breakfast mishap, the overall experience was pretty positive.

Room was fairly beat up and seems to be missing furniture. A very large party of the room was empty with no rig or carpet. The bathroom had a dirty wall and the tile on the floor was not clean.

The power went out around 1130 PM and they didn’t have a back up generator which I thought was strange, the power was out until about 4 in the morning. They were very accommodating and tried their best to keep things under control and accommodate requests. I needed to charge my phone for a zoom meeting in the morning so I was a little disappointed there was no clear solution. I understand it was out of their control but a hotel of that caliber should definitely have a plan when something like that occurs. The staff was an absolute A+ though

Stayed at the Graduate during the Spring Game weekend. Great location to walk around campus, restaurants/bars, shops, etc. The bar was nice for a late night drink and the coffee shop was perfect for a coffee/breakfast sandwich in the morning. Rooms were a bit small but the bed was very comfortable. Overall I enjoyed the stay and would book here again.

The Graduate Ann Arbor was located in prime area for shopping, bars/restaurants, and activities. My room on the fifth floor was dark and paint was chipping off the walls of which I took pictures. The noise, not due to the location, but due to the thin walls was horrible. I was awakened several times in the middle of the night as I heard other guests enter their rooms. I even heard neighbors toilet flushing at 2am. Never again………

The graduate isn’t top of its class

The Graduate needs an upgrade. The beds were very comfortable, but otherwise, things need a makeover. We were quite disappointed overall, and I feel like they are taking advantage of not much competition in the immediate area and avoiding doing necessary upgrades. The restaurant breakfast was really mediocre, although my daughter gave her fried chicken and waffles high marks.
