It's not the Ritz Carlton & it doesn't need to be

Let's be honest. If you're looking for the Ritz (or even the store brand) then this isn't the place for you. I spent just over $400 with tax for a 2BR with private bath apartment on St. Pat's weekend in Boston. There's a TON of great food and bakeries within walking distance, it's 5-10 minutes walk from the green line and there's multiple buses that go into town. It's it a great place? No. Is it a great deal for the money, hell yes.

this place is at best inexpensive and a place to sleep when driving home would be unsafe. check in and out was a hassle as the lobby is locked to the outside world. you have to stand in the doorway in the cold with your luggage and call the number, wait a while for someone to pick up, and continue to wait after the call for someone to let you in. the unit we stayed in was a block away from the check-in building, where the only (paid) parking was, so we had to walk on the ice and snow with our luggage, up three flights of stairs and down a long hallway, only to be met with the wrong room. the employee then brought us to a room SIMILAR to what we booked, but with two twin beds, not queens. we didn’t fuss because we were tired happy to be in a room with a private restroom. i swear to god we stayed in someone’s apartment while they were out of town that weekend. the unit was dirty and cluttered, and missing blankets, toilet paper, and towels. after calling, the employee returned with the missing items. we walked the block back to the farrington address for check out and ended up slipping and falling on ice right outside, scraping my knee. again, the checkout process was a hassle. all of this being said, i suppose you could argue that you get what you pay for. hotels don’t cost what they used to, but for $200ish for one night we were disappointed.

owner & manager are running a scam The house was literally dirty. There was no cleanliness to it. The bathroom filthy lots of noise from neighbors advertise at the hotel more of a room house horrible experiment.

Great room for the price

This place was awesome! The suite I stayed in was huge, and I couldn't believe how nice the kitchen was, and there was even a washer and a dryer. The other occupants were quiet, and respectful of privacy and shared spaces. The price was great, and it was amazing to be able to stay within walking distance of so many great music venues and restaurants. The staff was friendly and helpful.

I consider myself fairly low standards, and more or less want a bed to sleep in at night. That's about all I got. Shared a small corner "room", with a disgusting shared bathroom that included no soap or anything. Got a small hand towel to dry off. Other tenants were extremely loud late at night and early in the morning. Room I stayed in wasn't even in the advertised Inn. Room was absolutely freezing at night, no insulation and window didn't seal. Bed was uncomfortable. Weird stains everywhere. I know it's cheap, especially for Boston, but seriously, think twice before staying here. Honestly amazed this place is legal to rent out

Walking in it smelled strange. The stairs were very dirty and creaky. The building has no smoking signs everywhere yet our end table had tons of cigarette burns on it and had ciggarette butts and blunt guts in the drawer. The lamp shade had weird brown stains on it as well. No bathroom in room, the toilet and shower are shared on the first floor. There was a hole in the wall from what I assume was someone kicking the wall. The walls are paper thin and you can hear everything. Definitely not worth the $135 I paid.

This place was NO HOTEL! It was a tenament with worn rugs, long term tenants with wreaths on doors, loud noise occasionally, dingy lighting. Definitely never staying here again

The prices, off street parking however the entrance , inside carpet and floor is so dirty I have to wonder if inspectors don’t visit this property for person spending their money supporting this business place I believe we need to get satisfaction. It’s a nice location but need some major repairs on the inside . The management need to show some gratitude to persons booking and make some well needed repairs to this property .
