A lot of potential...but in need of major upgrades
Old hotel with a lot of potential...but not there yet. Being restored, but a lot of work yet to be done. Room was fairly comfortably equipped, but unable to control temperature of the room adequately. Hotel has radiant heat which is centrally controlled, and window unit A/C which was very drafty and cold. Space heater provided, but afraid to use while sleeping, so night time was quite cold. Common areas of the hotel were old and quite dated...major facelift needed.
Very historic. Very creepy but kind of fun if you're into that. Only place to stay in tiny clinton so no other choice. Room was huge which was nice. Honestly not bad at all. No staff which was weird but was fine. Road noise kind of sucks but if you've never stayed there before its worth it to try.
The room was so spacious and clean. I loved the extra amenities they offered. Wasn't sure what to expect with them, but they definitely exceeded them. We definitely plan to stay with them whenever we come Michigan.
We enjoyed our stay at the Clinton Inn. The room was spacious, bright and cheery. The bed and pillows were very comfortable! Having a window unit for air conditioning was very nice as it was hot in Michigan. Only suggestion we have is that we needed some electrical outlets and maybe a microwave. We would definitely stay there again!!
We rented the 'Blue Room' for two nights and had a wonderful stay. Just note; the rest of the hotel is rather...incomplete, but we can see the progress being made and when the issues confronting the owners is finished, I think we have another historic landmark we can all be proud of.
Clean and large rooms, owners were helpful and accommodating. No front desk so reach out prior to arrival and you will enjoy your stay. Nice restaurant and bar downstairs, otherwise limited on food options.
To be clear, this is an actual INN, not just a hotel called an inn. We loved it! Very clean with a warm, old-time, welcome feeling. The owners are upfront about the parts of the inn that are tough to upgrade, like slightly hard water. No big deal. A large four-poster bed with comfy mattress and pillows, coffee and snacks... it was a really nice night. We'd come back!
No staff on site. $250 security deposit is charged seperately, had to fill out paperwork with cc info in advance of arrival. Hotel is run down and in need of updating. Lighting is awful. Trying to see numbers on the lockbox to retrieve our room key was almost impossible. It was okay but for the price point Iâd stay elsewhere. Windows on 3rd floor always open (what is getting in?).
