"This is an older hotel but easy to access and good location. The staff were friendly when we needed anything. The pool was unique, could use some updating but staff kept it clean. You have to pay for parking which is disappointing but there is ample spots including underground. "

I don’t love the newish trend of having to pay an additional parking fee per night when you are already paying to stay there. I understand paying for parking at an event or something, but I think this should be included in the price of the hotel stay. Otherwise woulda been 5 stars."

"This is a large two bedroom rental with a nice living room, large kitchenette, and a good bathroom with a walk-in shower. Obviously a recent remodel and very nicely done. This place has a nice air to it. The walls are the original brick, and they've been painted white, which is beautiful. Nice job on the crown and base molding. Although this is described as a basement space, there are windows which are operable, so there is plenty of natural light and good air. Comfortable beds, plenty of blankets and towels. Cellular shades over the bedroom windows. The TV in the living room has Netflix, Prime, and HBO, and possibly other channels. Parking is on the street, and I had no problem finding a good spot essentially right in front of the property. Private entry and exit. I never saw the owner; the communications on how to get in where very clear. Right out the door and walk a few yards and you are on Colfax, which has lots of restaurants and bars to choose from on a walk, and also the Bluebird Theater is very close. I would definitely stay here again. There were occasionally some bumping, banging noises coming from the floor above, but I could only hear it when I was in the living room, and it was only for very short periods. Also, as mentioned in other reviews, once in the door there is a fairly steep set of stairs to come down. No problem at all, but if there is a disabled person in your party that can't handle a few steep steps, you might want to consider that. All in all, bravo"

"We could not control the temperature in are room. The hotel runs the thermostat. They did have a fan for us to use. Staff was very friendly and helpful."
