⭐ 1-Star Review: Palazzo Geaziani Hotel
On arrival, I was impressed by the location of the Palazzo Geaziani Hotel, which is conveniently situated near shopping and restaurants. The hotel also felt secure while inside, which initially made me feel at ease.
However, my stay quickly turned into a nightmare. Two of the rooms we booked were infested with bed bugs. We woke up covered in bites and I took pictures to document the situation, which I immediately shared with hotel management. I requested a room change or at least to have the mattresses replaced and the rooms cleaned. Unfortunately, housekeeping had already left for the day and the hotel was fully booked, so they could not accommodate my request.
Management offered me a refund for one night, which felt like a small gesture given the circumstances. I informed them that we would return from our tour between 9:00 and 9:30 pm to resolve the situation, but when we returned, no one was at the front desk. We tried calling other hotels, but unfortunately, everything was fully booked.
We were forced to pull the mattress into the hallway to inspect it for more bed bugs and found two more. It was an incredibly stressful and frustrating experience, especially as a travel agent who was not only personally affected but also had a client with me who experienced the same issue.
I asked management to compensate us for the inconvenience, but nothing further was offered beyond the refund for one night.
I will not be returning.
