The entire experience was incredibly disappointing and left a sour taste in our mouths. The issue with our room door wasn’t just a minor inconvenience; it was a serious security breach. Knowing that it wouldn’t lock and had signs of tampering heightened our sense of unease. When I attempted to close the door, a metal plate fell, serving as a harsh reminder of how unsafe we felt in that room. My husband immediately called the front desk, but the promised maintenance crew never showed up, leaving us anxious and frustrated. When we reached out again, emphasizing the importance of security for our belongings, we were met with indifference and told the hotel was fully booked. This was profoundly disappointing, as we expected better consideration for our safety. In a desperate attempt to resolve the issue ourselves, my husband went downstairs to request a refund. To our surprise, shortly after, we were offered a room change, which contradicted the earlier claims of no availability. It was disheartening that it took such a drastic step for our concerns to finally be taken seriously. While a competent staff member eventually assisted us and offered a secure room, the initial mishandling of our situation was unacceptable. This entire ordeal raised serious concerns about the hotel’s communication and customer service. The discrepancies in information and the need for assertiveness to achieve a solution were discouraging. I will never book here again!
