Place is ancient. TV was never hooked up for channels, lights were not plugged in - I had to fumble in the dark to find an outlet. Shower leaked over bathroom floor. I checked in at 2am and just wanted sleep. At least it was clean.

This we a great night before cruise stop. Pick up from airport was seamless. Arrived at hotel at 10pm was in our room by 1015. Room was clean and updated. No signs of bugs or mold. Easy to sign up for morning shuttle. Lots of morning guests for the shuttle and it moved like a well oiled machine. If you are accustomed to luxury this is not your place. But you can’t beat the price.

Of course found two small roaches in the room this eve. Fun to kill them before they get bigger or bring reinforcements. People routinely smoke in front of the room doors EVEN THOUGH THERE ARE NO SMOKING SIGNS. I told the front desk, but of course they can’t enforce it properly. Room floor is routinely dirty. I wiped the floor with a washcloth and it turned completely black.

Everything started off as 3 stars because I understand “you get what you pay for” and because I have stayed here about a dozen times (due to low cost and convenience to cruise port). But, after seeing a roach in the bathroom and being work Up early in the morning to a loud drip from the bathroom ceiling light and to loud conversations by the cleaning women near my door, the rating dropped to 2 stars. I reported the leak and no one ever called me, apologized , or knocked on my door to assess the situation. Thank god I planned to check out that morning and didn’t plan to get electrocuted by turning on the bathroom light or taking a shower with a water leak coming from the ceiling light.

Their shuttle from the airport took over an hour and fifteen minutes to arrive. The check in took twenty minutes. No baggage carts and a convoluted outdoor route is the only way to get to your room. Clock radio would not play tested alarm it wouldn’t work either called desk and they sent someone up , tried a second clock radio it would not function either. Called desk for a 7 am wake up call…;they never called woke up at 8:15. (DST) change over night.,,went down for coffee 3 1/2 empty airpots got a cup and a half of luke warm coffee from the 4th airpot took a shower got out and walked across the tile floor my feet got dirty and gritty from the filthy floor. It was our first time leaving for a cruise out of Port Lauderdale and We thought this Red Carpet Inn sounded like a convenient place to stay. It was a huge disappointment
