Relaxing at the Beach!
The unit was very nice and had a wonderful view of the ocean... and the interesting neighborhood around us.
Not only did we have the Bonnett House to our south and Hugh Taylor Stage Park to our north (which provided safe haven from the crowds), we could walk to five different restaurants of varying menus that pleased everyone in the family within 2 minutes! There was a convenient store (Smile Mart) across the street that offers all of the amenities you would need from soda, cereal, milk, sunscreen, fresh-made breakfast sandwiches, fruit and beach chairs!
YoMama Ice cream parlor was the mainstay each night, although pricey, they make amazing ice cream and the staff is friendly.
The staff at Ft. Lauderdale Beach Resort were attentive and friendly. A special shout-out to Ron who was the bartender at the poolside bar made exceptional smoothies for both the kids and adults. The music poolside was not too loud but oh-so-enjoyable!
The property itself was inviting but shows signs of its age. The interior is in need of updating, however given the view, the size, free covered parking and the location, we would gladly return given the price and all that this location has to offer.
