The Moana Surfrider is a historic & beautiful hotel. The location is great. Staff were very helpful and courteous. We stayed at the north end of the original building. The level of noise from outside the hotel was pretty intense.

This property is right on the beach which is very convenient, stores, restaurants located nearby. I usually request a certain room and was told the floor was closed due to remodeling, however I came to find out that there were guests staying on that floor. Didn’t appreciate the excuse. The only other issues we had this trip were certain items were not replaced by housekeeping and we had to ask for them. They were delivered right away however.

We upgraded to an ocean view and paid $125 per night more the room next class I think up at 6 AM and the world so thin and the doors are big opening on the bottom that you could hear them so clearly the four nights that we stayed there had to wake up at 6 AM
