1st floor 2 Br apartment with gated parking Located at walking distance from Museums, Herman Park, bars and restaurants. The location is very calm and quiet, few blocks from the lively area of Almeda st. All apartment is available for guests. 2 spacious bedrooms with king and queen beds, comfortable sofa bed in the living room. Spacious and complete kitchen. 2 bathrooms.
We provide everything from linens to towels to shampoo and soap to coffee and cereals for a quick breakfast. Renovation conducted trying to keep the flavour of old houses. Gated parking in the back (notify the host if you plan to bring more than one car) Groceries (HEB and Walgreen) nearby.

Easy Walk to the Museums

Comfy and clean

The bed was comfortable and there was plenty of space. The location was good and walkable for my purposes in the museum district. Quiet area. Lots of good food nearby, including vegan options. No grocery store in walking distance (I didn't have a car) but Walgreens served my modest needs for milk for coffee. I think the other tenant kept bolting the front door, but there was another entrance. A bolted front door would have made checking in difficult - luckily it wasn't bolted the first night.

Neighborhood is okay, I wouldn't call it nice, but not bad. The place itself is very nice. Spacious. There were 3 A/C window units for, at the time we visited, heating. One worked great, one ok, and one not well. The up down arrows would not respond and the remote wouldn't work. I messed with it for 20 minutes and got it working. Buttons are worn and not responsive. A/C units are kinda loud. upstairs people (another rental) woke my wife up each night at 3am. Toilet seat was broken. I was going to go 3 starts, but the manager actually called me about it, so props for that. Outlet by toaster wasn't working (GFCI with no reset button that I could find). I'm not a big fan of corporate run units. This is one. If you drive a low rider ( I drive a camry with a hitch cargo rack), you will scrape on the driveway getting in. Add some quickcrete guys. Overall good value, but left some to be desired.

A new look at Houston’s museum district

Super fun short stay in the Museum district at a great location with awesome amenities. Balen to easily get around a great area of Houston and kept cool even in the heat. The property was awesome. Spacious, clean, amazing support from our host (from granola bars to oatmeal to coffee to appliances, kitchen resources and more). And pet-friendly.

Outstanding value, great place to stay

We had three people staying here: myself, my husband, and our 13 year old son. The check in process was easy and everything was where the host said it would be. Rental was very clean and well kept with lots of amenities. We were thrilled to have off-street parking available for our rental car! Outstanding location with museums, the zoo, and great food within walking distance, but neighborhood was still peaceful. Easy 5/5 stars, this was a great experience and I’d enthusiastically recommend this rental to any small family!

On of the things that made this property very special for us were the carports in backyard where we could park our truck out of the rain. When we saw that Max had reconfigure the back yard and removed the carports we were very disappointed.

Great Location, Great Host

We stayed in this lovely apartment for two and a half months, because my son had a bone marrow transplant at MD Anderson. The location is wonderful - it's very close to the hospital and convenient to shopping. I love that Hermann Park is in walking distance, as well as all of the wonderful museums. Max is an excellent host - very responsive, and he provided us with everything we needed. We'll need to come back to Houston for some follow-up visits, and we'll definitely stay here again.

The neighborhood was very quiet. The landlord/manager checked in to see if everything was good and brought us supplies that we needed. The B&B was very clean and we loved the ability to lock the backyard and put the cars under a carport.

Close to museum district

The place was clean. Max provided towels, bed sheets, etc.. it was like coming home. HEB is around the corner. Restaurants within walking distance. Museum district was 20 something minutes walking. If we had known traffic was going to be intense in the park area in the morning, we would have walked and gotten inside the zoo a whole lot faster. Definitely a great location to rent and felt like I was at my home. Thank you Max for your hospitality!
