The photos are misleading on how old this property is. It looks like it was taken over by the Sonesta but not upgraded in any way. My drapes had stains, shower had hair on the walls, garbage was next to the garbage bin (obviously had been missed by the cleaners). There was coffee and teas but no coffee maker. The restaurant/bar didn’t have anything for dinner so I had to walk to Popeyes. Disappointing given the photos showed a more respectable spot.

Though I understand it’s still off season for Houston area hotels, but the pool area was unkept and foliage debris was all around. The hotel windows overlooking the atrium need a really good wash and when Houston weather permits, all the outside windows require a good cleaning. All the ledges that can be seen from the atrium windows require a good dusting. The room itself was clean, updated and spacious. Had some toilet flushing issues and they were taken care of in a timely efficient manner.

Comfort At Sonesta Houston Hotel IAH

Stayed for one night at this hotel, I was very impressed. My room was top notch, clean, very comfortable, great service at the front desk, breakfast and dinner meals was excellent. Employees were very helpful, always with a smile. If you want to just relax, get away and have a place to stay for comfort and have peace of mind, Sonesta Houston Hotel IAH is the place to be.
