Houstion trip
I really liked staying at this hotel, it wasnt far from the airport but it wasnt very close to downtown houston.. having a rental helped . I enjoyed having a full kitchen, the room was so nice & clean & the lady at the front desk was so nice to let ne check in earlier than my actual check in time. If you want to stay close by the airport, this hotel is a really good pick.

Pros:location was the reason for choosing. Staff was GREAT. breakfast choices was excellent; took a while to use the waffle maker due to the crowd.
Cons:another waffle maker.
Location:was familiar with the area; did things in our schedule.
was a good choice for the one night stay. Ice machine on our end of 1st floor was out of service, BUT the staff at front desk was GREAT about getting ice for us.

Pleasant staff and great, accessible location.
Check in was swift and courteous. The room was clean and comfortable. Hotel is very close to airport, with immediate access to highways.

Room A/C and refrigerator is noisy. I had to turn them off to sleep.
Pros:Free breakfast, Free Internet, light dinner in evening
Cons:Noisy
Room was noisy but otherwise OK. Breakfast was fine. The light dinner was a nice touch.

What I expected a Marriott to be
I have never heard of TownePlace Suites but decided to stay here because it's owned by Marriott. I was very happy with my decision and will stay at more TownePlace Suites in the future.
I was here for 2 weeks waiting on the closing of my house. I needed a quiet place with space for me to do work in the hotel room. When I got there the hotel was very elegantly decorated. It was also new which was a surprise, and you could tell that a few things needed repair after construction, but nothing that affected my stay.
Breakfast every morning was great...my favorite was making my own waffles. I also enjoyed the exercise room and sitting by the pool area. My room was an oversized hotel room with a very nice office space and a great little kitchen with everything I needed. I was disappointed that there wasn't anything within walking distance, but I had a rental car and would drive to a nearby shopping area and pick up food or get groceries.
The housekeepers were very nice and did a good job, cleaning usually when I was away. The front desk clerks were very helpful and it was nice that they are there all day and night. In the mornings I got a cheerful good morning and one time I came in around 2 or 3 in the morning and the clerk was very nice and patient with me as I asked a million questions about the area I was moving to.
Overall this hotel is very nice, the employees including the manager made up for the shortcomings and I appreciated visiting with the manager during the evening dinners.
I felt at home before my own home was even finished...exactly what I wanted!
